Strzok joins Weissmann and casts doubt on New York Times story on FBI’s Trump-Russia counterintelligence inquiry

Controversial FBI agent Peter Strzok cast further doubt on a New York Times story that claimed the Justice Department secretly blocked special counsel Robert Mueller’s team from conducting a Trump-Russia counterintelligence investigation without informing the FBI. Strzok, who was a key member in the FBI’s investigation into both former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s improper private email server and Crossfire Hurricane’s Trump-Russia inquiry, said he "didn’t feel such a limitation” during his time on Mueller’s team when asked about a piece by New York Times reporter Michael Schmidt, whose article was adapted from his new book, Donald Trump v. The United States: Inside the Struggle to Stop a President. Mueller’s “pitbull,” Andrew Weissmann, also cast doubt on the story a few days ago, and Mueller’s report and testimony also seem to contradict some claims made by the New York Times. “The Justice Department secretly took steps in 2017 to narrow the investigation into Russian election interference and any links to the Trump campaign, according to former law enforcement officials, keeping investigators from completing an examination of President Trump’s decades-long personal and business ties to Russia,” the New York Times reported on Sunday, adding the FBI opened the counterintelligence investigation in May 2017, but "within days," former Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein “curtailed the investigation without telling the bureau, all but ensuring it would go nowhere.” Anne Applebaum of the Atlantic asked Strzok during an interview published Friday about the report, which she said, “suggests that the Justice Department secretly took steps in 2017 to narrow the investigation, precisely so that it would not touch on the president’s long-standing relationship with Russia.” Strzok cast doubt on that.

“During the time I worked at the Special Counsel’s Office, I didn’t feel such a limitation,” Strzok replied. “When I discussed this with Mueller and others, it was agreed that FBI personnel attached to the Special Counsel’s Office would do the counterintelligence work, which necessarily included the president. But that’s an extraordinarily complex task, one of the most difficult counterintelligence investigations in the FBI’s history.” Strzok added that “perhaps the FBI is somehow carrying out a comprehensive survey, with the full involvement of the CIA and NSA and the entire U.S. intelligence community” but said he worried that the inquiry “largely died on the vine.” Strzok was removed from Mueller's team when numerous anti-Trump texts he'd exchanged with FBI lawyer Lisa Page, with whom he was having an affair, were unearthed, and he was fired in 2018. Strzok is currently suing the Justice Department. Weissmann also said the New York Times was wrong about its FBI counterintelligence story, tweeting, “NYT story today is wrong re: alleged secret DOJ order prohibiting a counterintelligence investigation by Mueller, ‘without telling the bureau.’ Dozens of FBI agents/analysts were embedded in Special Counsel's Office and we were never told to keep anything from them."

Soros’s Election Coup Playbook Demanding America Abandons Constitutional Norms And Prepares for A ‘Street Fight’

The National Pulse Editor-in-Chief Raheem Kassam has outlined the radical, anti-democratic tactics the Transition Integrity Project is deploying to secure a fraudulent victory for Democrat Presidential candidate Joe Biden in the 2020 election. The Transition Integrity Project, which purports to be bipartisan, is run by individuals linked to leftist mega-donor George Soros and the Chinese Communist Party-affiliated Berggruen Institute.

On August 3rd The National Pulse published an article which explained an impending attempt to delegitimize the election coming from the far left and their corporate backers. George Soros, the Berggruen Institute, the Gates Foundation and a handful of NeverTrump operatives within the Republican Party created a front group called the Transition Integrity Project. They claim they are non-partisan or bipartisan – they use those words interchangeably though they actually mean different things – and that their raison d’etre is that Trump will try to steal the election. The group is linked with the Chinese Communist Party, too. This group has had an avalanche of positive press coverage from the New York Times to local papers, to Vox, to the Atlantic magazine and more. They’re being heralded as saviors of this election. Except their whole planning document is an attack on the norms we have known in American elections for a very, very long time. The Transition Integrity Project makes no bones about its scorn for the Electoral College and we know why. The Electoral College prevents mob rule. It prevents the coastal elites running roughshod over what they call “Flyover country”. And it specifically was designed to do so. In other words it was intended to stop the tyranny of the majority and mob rule.

But the Transition Integrity Project unironically accuses the RIGHT of opposing America’s norms, while they say this about the Electoral College: “TIP recognizes and shares the view that the Electoral College is profoundly anti-democratic, and that numerous long-standing practices also function to create structural biases in our voting system. For present purposes, however, these constraints are treated as givens.” In addition to objecting to the Electoral College – a constitutional necessity – they take aim at more recent norms within the U.S. The norm of “Election night”. On page 2 of their document the Transition Integrity Project says of Election night: “The concept of “election night,” is no longer accurate and indeed is dangerous. We face a period of contestation stretching from the first day a ballot is cast in mid-September until January 20. The winner may not, and we assess likely will not, be known on “election night” as officials count mail-in ballots. This period of uncertainty provides opportunities for an unscrupulous candidate to cast doubt on the legitimacy of the process and to set up an unprecedented assault on the outcome. Campaigns, parties, the press and the public must be educated to adjust expectations starting immediately.” And of course, in lock step with the demands of this Soros-run group, the media has parroted these lines over the past few days. That’s because they’re panicked. And this is their panic button. Accuse Trump of doing precisely the thing they’re trying to do: steal the election.

Hawkfish, the DNC analytics firm, suggested Trump could win on election night in a landslide, but then have the vote reversed by cascades of mail in ballots that would magically emerge over the next week. Just like they accused Trump of foreign collusion which he never performed, they’re accusing Trump of trying to steal an election that they themselves are trying to steal. Their “non partisan report says that Trump’s going to try to pardon everyone around him, including himself, start a foreign war, destroy “evidence”, and disrupt any peaceful transition to power for the Democrats. It’s outright fantasy. And it’s deeply dangerous.

So-Called Bipartisan ‘Transition Integrity Project’ Founder Sent THOUSANDS To Biden Campaign

Rosa Brooks – founder of the Transition Integrity Project which purports to be a bipartisan force stopping President Trump from “stealing” the 2020 election – has funneled over $5,000 to Democratic Presidential candidate Joe Biden’s campaign, according to Federal Election Commission records. The Transition Integrity Project purports to be a neutral force but, in reality, the initiative is replete with fervent Never Trumpers and hard leftists. Not a single Trump-supporting Republican has been identified as a member.

The project “war-gamed” election outcomes where Biden, played by John Podesta, refused to concede the election. And this revelation – donations between September 12th, 2019 and February 19th, 2020 totaling $5,100 to the Biden campaign from the project’s founder – is yet another blow to its facade of bipartisanship and neutrality. The Biden campaign received $800 from Brooks in September 2019, $2,800 in November 2019, $1,000 in January 2020, and $500 in February 2020, according to Federal Election Commission (FEC) records. Interspersed through Brooks’s donations to the “Biden for President” effort is $650 dollars split between failed presidential candidate Elizabeth Warren and failed Democratic congressional candidate and Obama White House alum, Evelyn Farkas. Prior to the 2020 election cycle, Brooks donated nearly $16,500 between 2002 and 2018 to a host of Democratic candidates, including over $5,000 to Obama’s 2008 presidential effort and $8,100 to Hillary Clinton’s 2016 campaign. Per the FEC, not a single cent has gone to Republican candidates.

Brooks was an Obama-era Counselor to Under Secretary of Defense for Policy and Special Coordinator for Rule of Law and Humanitarian Policy along with a Senior Advisor t0 Bill Clinton’s State Department. She also served as Special Counsel to the President at the Open Society Institute and now serves on the advisory board of the foundation, the brainchild of progressive mega-donor George Soros. While the Transition Integrity Project has professed to “take no position on how Americans should cast their votes,” its founder’s political preferences are clear: Brooks is a bonafide Biden supporter and donor. The news follows an Axios story highlighting Hawkfish, a data analytics agency employed by the Democratic National Committee and pro-Biden Political Action Committees (PAC), admitting that President Trump will likely win an “incredible victory” on election night. In the following days, they claim, mail-ballots would surface to flip the election in favor of Brooks’s candidate of choice: Biden.
