Melania Trump is a catholic and the key to this entire thing. She brought Donald to the Church.
However, this week's news of Mrs. Trump's Catholicism means she is the first Catholic first lady in the White House since Jacqueline Kennedy.
"When the Kennedys visited Pope John XXIII in 1962, more than 15,000 people cheered Jackie when she entered Vatican City," says Kate Andersen Brower, an historian and author of First Women: The Grace and Power of America's Modern First Ladies. "Like Melania did yesterday, Jackie also wore a black dress and a black lace mantilla on her head."
The first lady made headlines yesterday for donning the outfit requested of women who have an audience with the pope: long sleeves, black formal wear, and a veil to cover their head.
The Trumps attend an Episcopal "High" Church in Palm Beach.

President Trump and first lady Melania Trump attended mass Sunday night in Florida on the eve of Christmas.
The first couple attended mass at the Episcopal Church of Bethesda-by-the-Sea in Palm Beach, arriving after the service had already started, according to a White House pool report.
The couple also attended the church's midnight services last year, about a month before Trump took office. The church is where the couple had their wedding.
