My Honest Assessment is:
The Protests will transition to a more peaceful atmosphere, less rioting.
The cause of this will be targeted arrests of provocateurs which will reduce radical influence.
Just my opinion: the counter will be further guerrilla splintering which will then become more violent. Not saying it's a bad progression. The result will be a further distinction between well intentioned (very loosely used) protesters and the elements that further a violent agenda.
The downside, for the useful idiots, is that protesters will be used as cannon fodder and probably get hurt.
The upside is that the idiocy bar will be raised and the just marginally moronic types will stop joining the marches.
