When Joe Biden was Vice President, he told an audience at a US-China Strategic and Economic Dialogue meeting that he had the "great pleasure" of spending "a fair amount of time with President Xi," after Xi was made president of China.
"I congratulated him on his elevation, I asked if he could possibly help me," Biden then joked, in a clip which can still be viewed on the Obama White House YouTube page, according to the NY Post.

During the 2016 campaign, candidate Trump made a joke about asking Russia for help in finding Hillary Clinton’s deleted (and bleach-bitted) emails from her private server, and that was taken as evidence for launching an FBI investigation and subsequent special counsel probe on non-existent “collusion” with Russia. Yet back in 2013, Joe Biden, whose son was hauled around on Air Force Two to help him make lucrative deals with foreign powers including China, openly “joked” about asking Beijing for help becoming president, and we are only hearing of it this weekend:

Then, months after Biden's June 2013 comments, he flew with son Hunter on Air Force Two, landing in Beijing where he would meet with Hunter's Chinese partners at BHR Equity Investment Fund Management Co, according to the New York Post.

Retired Teacher Under Investigation by Capitol Police After Threatening to Shoot GOP Rep. Paul Gosar in the Head
A retired teacher is under investigation by the Capitol Police for threatening to shoot pro-Trump GOP Congressman Paul Gosar (AZ) in the head.
Gosar’s staffer retrieved a threatening voicemail on Monday morning which was left during the weekend.
A retired teacher, who was identified through caller ID as Margaret Kathleen Spangenberg of Glendale, Arizona, left a 36-second message for Gosar threatening to kill him because he supports President Trump.
Threatening congressional officials is a felony and carries penalties of 5 to 10 years in prison.

There was a 36-second message on the phone from a woman, who was apparently not happy with the conservative congressman:
“So, the way I see it, since you supported a child rapist who has 65 years of crimes and you are doing shit about Covid, and I’ve had people die, I think it’s totally ok for me to come with my gun and shoot you in the head.
That’s what we think of you Mr. Gosar. You’re a murderer supporter and you are just going down. Murderer, murderer, murderer supporter, you are going down.
And we’ll make sure we’ll send lots of protesters your way too.
You’re a real big fucking piece of shit.”
The woman, who was later identified as a retired schoolteacher who resides in Glendale, is under investigation by the U.S. Capitol Police, said Tom Van Flein, Gosar’s chief of staff.

Xi's Political Rivals Run For Cover: "A Purge Is Coming - Be Careful"
Nikkei Asian Review has more details on Xi Jinping's ongoing purge in preparation to establish total authority over China's Communist Party, including related to some recent key, deeply symbolic acts:
Also on Aug. 26, Xi convened a meeting of 300 or so senior police and state security officials from across the country at Beijing's Great Hall of the People.
In a pompous ceremony, Xi handed to the police force a newly designed red and blue flag.
The red portion, occupying the top half of the flag, symbolizes the party and is meant to portray the police's absolute loyalty to the party, it was explained.
It ultimately means that for the first time the country's police forces are under Xi's direct control, instead under the immediate oversight of the government's State Council.
The Nikkei report links Xi's penchant for bestowing new flags on state enforcement entities as underscoring their total loyalty to the party, which increasingly means himself, also given also significant rumors Xi is looking to resurrect Mao Zedong's historic 'Chairman' title to replace his slightly less impressive title of General Secretary of the Chinese Communist Party.
The report notes further:
Likewise, the People's Armed Police a paramilitary organization responsible for internal security, riot control and anti-terrorism efforts has been placed under the full command of the Central Military Commission. It had previously been under the military and government.
Back in January 2018, Xi also conferred a new flag to the People's Armed Police; one that was different from the People's Liberation Army flag.
Each time Xi seeks to take control of a branch of law enforcement, he confers a flag.

Nikkei underscores that with the underlying intentions related to the rectification movement clear, rivals and political enemies are "running for cover" — including apparently leaders of the rival Communist Youth League, now in subtle ways relaying to its members: "A purge is coming. Everyone, be careful."

Violence Will Get Even Worse – Kevin Shipp
Former CIA Officer and counter-terrorism expert Kevin Shipp says the violence you are seeing in American cities is not going to stop anytime soon. Is the violence going to get worse? Shipp contends, “It will get worse. We are going to see it amplified leading up to the election, and it’s going to get even worse after the election. These people see this as their moment to act. It’s a moment that they have been building for a couple of decades. We are going to see the attacks increase, especially by Black Lives Matter (BLM). People need to understand and be prepared for what is coming. . . . They are desperate. They know the Democrat Party does not have a real candidate to offer. Donald Trump is extremely strong, and they also know that Trump has a support base that is larger than it was during the last election. . . . They see this as their time. They are not going to give up, and they are not going to stop. They have been encouraged by Nancy Pelosi, Kamala Harris and others, such as Maxine Waters, to increase the violence. So, they are being encouraged by top Democrats, and they are not going to stop. This will escalate.”
Shipp says, “BLM and Antifa want a civil war.” Shipp explains, “That’s exactly what they want, a civil war, and they want to split America. They understand that the conservative people and the patriots out there have gained a lot of ground. They are intentionally starting a civil war to overturn our Constitutional system and our fundamental belief system. . . .They are starting a civil war, and they are starting serious attacks. It’s not just Trump supporters, but Black Lives Matter has had attack after attack on white Americans simply because of their race. . . . Anyone who resists this movement, they label them as a white supremacist with no facts and no evidence. They know exactly what they are doing. When they do this, and I am talking about the Democrat Party, it is a propaganda technique because it shuts down any discussion and any examination of the facts. . . . People who are representing Trump at these ‘protests’ need to understand they are in danger. It’s clear they have an organized effort to attack Trump supporters and conservatives with violence. So, people need to be prepared and situationally aware of their surroundings. Look for somebody following them. Look for a brewing protest on the street and things like that. ”
After the election, Shipp predicts, “Trump is going to win, but when Trump wins . . . these people are just going to go crazy and escalate the violence.”
As far as the cheat-by-mail campaign the Democrats have been pushing, Shipp thinks, “They are a little late in the game. So, I don’t think that’s going to work. What they may do if the ballots don’t come in until after the election . . . they will say we’ve got all these votes, and we want to count them. They will contest the election, and that’s already part of their plan. They know these mail-in votes are not going to work this late in the game. After the election, they are going to claim that this is reason to contest the election and not concede. Just watch it happen.”
Shipp also predicts, “I think Trump is going to have a wider margin of victory than he did in 2016. The Democrat Party has shot themselves in the foot . . . encouraging this violence, thinking it was going to make Trump look bad and make things look unstable. It has backfired on them. . . . The Democrats already know they have lost, and Joe Biden sadly gets worse by the week in terms of his mental acuity, and they know it. It’s embarrassing and cruel for the Democrat Party to keep putting him in that position. . . . The Democrats are terrified, and Donald Trump is going to decimate Joe Biden in the debates. Democrats are going to do everything they can to keep these debates from happening.”
