Trump had the media present for the meeting.
The people that accused him sent the media away before that part of the meeting began.
Also they tried the same trick about 2 weeks before in late Dec 2017, but didn't get the story to go viral.
Pelosi & Schumer also had a first attempt during the initial DACA meetings a few months prior to that - saying Trump had agreed to their demands on DACA, then were forced to eat their words - and illegals invaded Pelosi's speech. LOL!
In short, that was the 3rd time (that I know of) they had tried to pull that "Trump said something bad!" stunt on everyone.
