it's impossible to know the true numbers because so many kidnapped kids were/are in foster care & the missing children often go UNREPORTED for weeks/ months! Not to mention they don't track disappearances of kids in say a state/national park like a kidnapping plus there's the illegal kids that are kidnapped no one ever knows about,. They honestly don't have a good database to track actual numbers.
