Zuckerberg: Americans Need To Accept Election Result Could Take Weeks To Be Confirmed

Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg insists that Americans must get used to the idea that the election result may take “weeks” to be confirmed after voting on November 3.

“One of the things that we and the media need to start doing is preparing the American people that there is nothing illegitimate about this election taking additional days or weeks to make sure all the votes are counted,” Zuckerberg told Axios.

He added that the company would begin a “messaging” campaign to convince Americans that such a scenario is “normal.”

Zuckerberg then re-iterated that the company would not allow candidates to announce victory prematurely without it being challenged, something that, given Facebook’s brazen political bias, is only likely to be deployed against Republicans.

The Facebook CEO also repeated his warning that the risk of “civil unrest” after election day is high and that this could spread “across the country.”

As we highlighted last week, a pro-Biden polling firm announced that the results on election night could show Trump winning in a landslide, but that after all the mail-in votes were counted, Biden would be victorious with room to spare.

This prompted accusations that the warning was merely another attempt to subvert or delegitimize a Trump victory.

The Washington Post followed that up by publishing an article that asserted the election result would “spark violence” unless it was a Biden landslide.

Joe Biden Says Trump is the One Who Wants to Defund Police – After Running Ads Attacking Police

Biden’s poll numbers are tanking so he is now gas-lighting Americans.

Joe Biden on Monday actually claimed it is Donald Trump who wants to defund the police after a reporter confronted him.

“The only person calling to defund the police is Donald Trump,” Biden said before calling Trump “pathological.”

“I’m the one calling for $300M more for local police, for community policing … The only person calling to defund the police is Donald Trump. Look at his budget. He calls for cutting police funding for local — state and local help by $400 million. Once again, he’s pathological,” Biden said.

NBA Donates $300 Million to BLM and the Democrat Party’s Pockets — Now Wants to Set Up Polling Places Which May Be Illegal

Guest post by Bob Bishop

The Democrat Party is a fervent supporter of the Black Lives Matter movement and so is the NBA.

There is no room for diversity of thought in the National Basketball Association.

The Party and its 2020 candidates have never publicly denounced the associated looting, rioting, and wholesale violence. The Democratic National Committee actively uses the BLM movement to solicit for donations. BLM is the de facto wing of the party, and Antifa is BLM’s alter ego.

The NBA has caved into the mob mentality and hyperactive player activism by becoming a promoter of the Black Lives Matter movement and is donating $300 million. The NBA collaborates with local BLM organizations and claims its actions are about non-partisan policy reform (an unlikely story).

Of course this money is going directly to the Democrat Party. We reported this first in June when we noted that donations to BLM go directly to ActBlue which is the donation site for the Democrat Party.

By donating to Black Lives Matter, many of the donors in the NBA may not realize they are really donating to the Democrat Party:

Now the latest NBA marketing strategy is to use sixteen arenas as mega polling places for early and election day voting ostensibly for social distancing.

The mega-sites’ early election will unfold with the parquet courts decorated with the Black Lives Matter logo, painted murals, and hanging BLM banners to virtue signal the NBA’s support. NBA will be doing voter promos. BLM supporters will be loitering around the arenas wearing slogan T-Shirts, carrying signs, and handing out literature. Players will be putting in appearances at the stadiums for fan selfies and autographs to get out the vote. By promoting BLM, it directly benefits the Democratic Party candidates. However, by their overt actions, the NBA teams may be violating most state election laws addressing loitering and electioneering.

In the State of Texas, the San Antonio Spurs, Houston Rockets, and Dallas Mavericks have committed to using their arenas.

Oil Plunges Below $40 In Biggest Drop Since June

With growth stocks getting pummeled, one would think that there is at least some rotation out of growth and into value sectors. Alas, one would be wrong, because the core commodity behind so many "value" strategies, oil, is plunging even more than the Nasdaq, with Brent tumbling below $40 for the first time since June…

The drop was sparked by concerns about waning Chinese demand with only four of 10 Asian refiners surveyed by Bloomberg saying they would try to buy more Saudi Arabian crude after the kingdom cut pricing for October as consumption remained below pre-virus levels. Abu Dhabi National Oil Co. also cut prices on Tuesday, the latest response to a sluggish demand backdrop in the world’s biggest oil-consuming region.

"Today’s oil-price move is a clear sign that the market now seriously worries about the future of oil demand,” said Paola Rodriguez-Masiu, senior oil markets analyst at Rystad Energy AS.

Other bearish factors noted by Bloomberg include the end of the U.S. summer driving season and more supply from the OPEC+ alliance. In addition to the plunge in spot prices, Brent’s three-month timespread is nearing the widest contango since late May, "an indication that concerns about oversupply are returning. Equity markets were also weaker on Tuesday, adding to crude’s losses."

The growing contango in both Brent and WTI, combined with the near record plunge tanker rates, will likely spark another round of loading up oil in floating storage. Storing crude at sea has become profitable again for northwest Europe and the Mediterranean, shipbroker and exchange data compiled by Bloomberg show.

Most Americans believe US government is corrupt and unaccountable to the people, poll finds

Most US citizens believe their government, legislators and courts are corrupt and unaccountable to the public, according to a new poll. Strikingly, both Democrats and Republicans share this opinion.

Seventy-three percent of Americans say that elected officials do not face “serious consequences” for misconduct, according to a new Pew Research Center poll. A closer look reveals that a mere 21 percent of those leaning Democrat and 32 percent of Republicans believe there is some basic justice for delinquent politicians. This is not the only issue where US liberals and conservatives almost reach a consensus.

Seventy percent of US citizens don’t think the government is “open and transparent,” while 60 percent of both Republicans and Democrats believe that judges aren’t free from the influence of parties and politicians.

All this might have led to the unsurprising 62 percent majority of Americans to say “significant changes” are needed in the structure of government. From this point, however, the partisan divide does shine through. Some 79 percent of Democrats and only 41 percent of Republicans agree with the need for governmental reform.

Another interesting point is how equality is viewed. Seventy-six percent of Republicans think that everyone has an equal opportunity to succeed, but only 28 percent of Democrats would agree.

This disparity of opinions was by itself highlighted in the poll. Less than 30 percent of both Republicans and Democrats believe their compatriots “agree on basic facts even though they disagree politically.”

The poll seems to display both a complete distrust most Americans seem to have toward their public institutions, and a major ideological divide among themselves. This set of facts perhaps sheds a light on the often brought up possibility of the 2020 presidential election being contested if the results are close.

Both Democrats and Republicans often speculate on abuses of power and fraud that may cost them the presidency. The theories vary from Donald Trump refusing to leave office, to liberal partisans electing Joe Biden through mail-in voting machinations.

Washington Slaps Import Bans On Chinese Companies Using "Forced Labor" From Imprisoned Muslims

Washington has announced its latest move to punish Chinese CCP officials and mainland-based companies for enabling human rights abuses in Xinjiang, the far-western region where as many as 1 million Chinese Uighur (a Muslim minority group) have reportedly been interned in a network of 'forced labor camps'

The Trump administration announced Tuesday morning that it has banned imports from three Chinese companies based in the Xinjiang region of China, retaliation for Beijing’s repression of the Uighurs.

US Customs and Border Protection on Aug. 11 issued a "withhold release order", which is used to combat forced labor in global supply chains, against Hero Vast Group for using “convict labor and forced labor to produce the garments it manufactures." CBP said in a statement. It issued similar orders against Lop County Meixin Hair Product Co. on June 17 and Hetian Haolin Hair Accessories Co. on May 1, according to the Tuesday announcement.

The US plans to impose similar restrictions on six more firms, targeting cotton, textiles, tomatoes, haircare products and computer parts from the area. Those should arrive by the end of this fiscal year, the CBP said (the new fiscal year for the federal government begins Oct. 1).

Coronavirus Deaths Over Weekend Are Lowest Since the 4th of July – COVID-19 is Fizzling Out Across US Just Like Other Countries

It is clear that COVID-19 is fizzling across America and the world.

Based on prior reports we know that the number of new cases is fizzling out but is hidden because we are testing more, way more people than in March. If we were testing at the same level as in March, the number of new cases would be minuscule:

We also know that deaths recorded related to COVID-19 are not accurate. The deaths reported by Worldometers show all deaths reported on a particular day based on the day the deaths are reported and not the date of death. The lag in reporting is one question (i.e. why are deaths from a month ago only now reported as coronavirus deaths?), but when mapping deaths by date of death, you arrive at a much different picture:
