What you are missing is that in the US academia went to great lengths to brainwash our youth into believing that Hitler wasn't a socialist/communist and instead project him as a capitalist.
See Hitler disagreed with Marx and Engals on how communism/socialism was to be ushered in. He believed it could be done peacefully without a violent overthrow of the existing government.
This lead to academics teaching the myth that Hitler wasn't communist and instead hated communism which is not true at all, but it allowed academia to pretend that Hitler and his minions came from a capitalistic effort and not a push for socialism/communism.
This is why the young college kids won't let any conservative speak on campus, academia has brainwashed them all into the believe that Hitler and fascism were right wing movements and effects. They are not, they are left wing movements and a result of the push for communism/socialism.
