After dropping a nuclear bomb on Hiroshima, former President Harry Truman warned the Japanese people that anything less than surrender would ensure total destruction. This report tanked the stock market.
I watched the first three episodes of "The Vow" which is slow-going but revealing so far. The color-coded sashes are strange enough.
There are many needy people in the world who are attracted to this type of garbage. It's why I get mad when someone here writes "Hi Boss" in response to a Q post. There are enough red flags to this ordeal that we don't need any more reasons for people to think this is a cult. It's a sure-fire mind-manipulation tactic for a cult leader to tell their followers to think and research for themselves, only to have said followers act silly as they wait eagerly to hear from "The Boss" again.
Raniere knew how to make people wait for him to find out what to do next. That is always a tell. People on power trips do this all the time; a tactic they learn in management school or from a book on how to rise up in the ranks by always being unavailable so people have to chase you down or wait for you to start anything. He told each one privately how special they were—they were the only one who really understood everything—to make them feel as though they were an insider and above everyone else.
The NXIVM Executive Success Program was only about taking money from mixed-up, insecure suckers, most who could well afford it, and not about helping anyone improve their lives (that's always up to you, right?). If you hear anyone trying to sell you wellness it's almost always a big sign to run as fast as you can!
That's fine, just be sure to take your instructions from God and not from anyone here.
