DREAMSTIME

Was going to speak up about this site the last time it came under suspicion. Going to post what I know this time round.

DREAMSTIME is an aggregate site, that is, they promote ALL other image libraries which would explain the low payouts because there are two beasts nibbling at the incomings.

As for their logo, I could have easily designed something like that without realising it has nefarious implications before I stumbled on Q. DREAMSTIME, however, may well know exactly what it means. There is a record with a label meme that often shows up on QR and it has a green pedo swirl around the centre hole. Nobody seems suspicious of that. Always baffles me.

As for the images, I frequent libraries ALL the time. There is the occasional pic that has stopped me in my tracks. I usually check the contributors folio of images but I have never found a turd promoting over sexualising of children. Usually it’s a one off borderline image.

The pics that were posted in the same bread are not pedo pics. Stop looking at them as ‘sexualised‘ children and imagine those images used to promote dance classes, healthy eating, shampoo, clothes or other products. When we look for pics we have a particular concept to fulfil and finding that right image could include any of those images (though the gymnast child with a full on crutch shot IS borderline and most definitely distasteful - I’d be checking his folio). A pic of a pretty girl with cascading hair is NOT pedophilia ffs. It’s a pretty girl with cascading hair and she could sell ANY product in her age bracket.

I am full on no tolerance when it comes to exploitation of children. SOME of those images are borderline or just shy of borderline. The thing to remember is that artists place these images with multiple libraries so you will find almost ALL of these images on other sites that DON’T have swirly logos.

As for account holders having access to members only areas, news to me.

NOW, ALL THAT ASIDE, IT DOES NOT MEAN DREAMSTIME IS NOT A CESSPIT OF PEDOPHILIA. It is the only aggregate site I know of and would be a perfect way to cover an operation without any of the intensive work dedicated libraries would need to do. They would be a scraping site similar to qmap and Q drops. Non coding artist here. No offence to scraping sites. I’m sure there’s lots of work.
