One downer as of recent, I was able to find a confirmation photo of the temporary wood and plaster construction when researching the victory arch and the dewy arch near madison park

By any chance might any anons out there be able to read Latin?

 

I have been attempting to translate the Latin inscription on the old Washington square arch

Google was just butchering the hell out of it

 

it seems google ball cannot into Latin

I can give that a try but it's pretty clearly Latin on the website you can zoom in to see the inscription in far better detail unfortunately whoever sliced up the images for zooming chopped a few letters off here and there
