L.A. Sheriff’s Department Arrests Anarchists; Fake ‘Press’ Helmets Found

LASD tells FOX 11 they gave the crowd an order to disperse when the crowd began “gearing up” and was standing in the street at Imperial and Normandie.

When the order was ignored, LASD began using crowd control munitions to push the crowd down Normandie, and many of them fled into nearby neighborhoods.

LASD arrested roughly a dozen of the protesters, who they suspect are not from the South LA community and came to the protest to agitate.

Deputies tell FOX 11 they recovered knives, poles, and fireworks from those they arrested.

Melugin added that many of the anarchists were equipped with fake “PRESS” helmets to table them to pose as journalists — a tactic they seem to have borrowed from rioters in Portland, Oregon.

Obama-Appointed Judge Reopens ‘Visa Lottery’ During Coronavirus Crisis

Q when are these judges going to be removed? Look at the countries these people are coming from. They’re sending their worst!

A federal judge, appointed in 2014 by President Barack Obama, has forced the reopening of the Diversity Visa Lottery program in the midst of the Chinese coronavirus crisis.

United States District Court Judge Amit Mehta issued a ruling last week that reopens the Visa Lottery program to deliver potentially 43,000 visas to randomly selected foreign nationals around the world.

Mehta, while upholding President Trump’s suspension of foreign visa workers into the U.S. labor market, ruled that the president does not have the authority to temporarily halt the Visa Lottery program.

The Visa Lottery randomly gives out about 55,000 visas every year to foreign nationals from a multitude of countries — such asAfghanistan, Algeria, Egypt, Iraq, Lebanon, Libya, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Syria, Trinidad and Tobago, Venezuela, Yemen, and Uzbekistan — with minimal security checks.

Trump, through his original April executive order pausing mostly employment-based green cards, halted the program after the State Department had already issued about 12,000 visas to lottery winners this year.

Mehta ruled the Trump administration has “unreasonably delayed processing” visas for lottery winners during the ongoing Chinese coronavirus crisis. He wrote:

To be clear, there is no statutory requirement that every available diversity visa be issued each year. But that does not mean that the State Department could effectively extinguish the diversity program for a given year by simply sitting on its hands and letting all pending diversity visa applications time out.

As part of the ruling, Mehta is ordering the State Department to detail the number of unused Visa Lottery visas for this fiscal year by September 25. Attorneys for visa lottery winners have sought to have any unused Visa Lottery visas this year reused for the next fiscal year.

The original lawsuit was filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia. The case number is 1:20-cv-01419-APM.

VIDEO: Trump Supporter Claims Postal Worker Defaced Mail with ‘BLM’

A woman in Northridge, California, is claiming a United States Postal Service (USPS) worker defaced her mail Thursday by writing “BLM” on it.

The woman identified only as Donna said her neighbor’s security camera caught the alleged incident on tape, according to Fox 11.

“His camera showed him walking to my house. He had the mail in his hand and he’s writing,” she told the outlet.

Donna, who flies a Trump 2020 flag off her front porch and calls President Trump “a great president,” immediately notified the post office about the incident.

“This guy was tampering with private property mail. The manager told me they’re definitely going to fire him because this is a federal offense,” she commented.

USPS spokesperson Evelina Ramirez called the alleged mishandling of mail unacceptable and also released a statement.

“We are disappointed to see the actions of our employee, and apologize to the customers affected by this incident. The Postal Service is investigating the matter and will take appropriate action to ensure this does not occur again,” she wrote.

In addition, Donna claimed the postal worker threw her mail on the ground and said as far as she knew, none of her other neighbors were targeted.

“I’m just curious, how many people in this whole neighborhood have a Trump sign and if they do… they probably got BLM written on their mail also,” she commented.

In June, a USPS worker was accused of throwing a sheriff’s campaign flyers into a dumpster in Fort Bend County, Texas.

“Sheriff Troy Nehls is a republican candidate running for Texas’ 22nd Congressional District. He said the postal worker was caught on video throwing a stack of his campaign mailers in the trash,” WFLA reported.

In California, Donna’s neighbor backed up her story and said it was “100 percent sure.”

“You know why, nobody coming inside for writing the email. Only this guy has access for that thing,” Carlos Sanchez told Fox 11.

The post office did not specifically say what disciplinary action would be taken against the mail carrier if he was found responsible.

However, Fox 11 confirmed that “defacement of mail falls under federal mail tampering laws and is considered a felony punishable by up to 5 years in prison.”

U.S. Forest Service K-9 Survives Second Stabbing

This dog is tough!

A U.S. Forest Service police dog is recovering after being stabbed nine times during a recent marijuana raid in Northern California.

The 11-year-old Belgian Malinois named Ice was airlifted to a veterinary clinic for treatment following the altercation, according to the Associated Press (AP).

The report continued:

Ice was wounded Aug. 27 in the Klamath National Forest south of the Oregon border when he was released to catch a suspect who had fled down a steep hill to escape the raid that unearthed more than 5,500 marijuana plants. He kept hold of the suspect even after he was stabbed, while his handler, Patrol Capt. Christopher Magallon, made the arrest.

Magallon then gave his dog first aid while calling in a helicopter, which flew Ice more than 70 miles to the Veterinary Specialty Center in Medford, Oregon. The dog, which had been wearing a protective vest, was released later that afternoon, and federal prosecutors are still considering charges.

“Thankfully, despite the attack, no major areas were struck, and Ice will quickly recover and return to service until his expected retirement at the end of this month,” said the Forest Services’ North Zone Patrol Commander Cody Wheeler.

However, it was the second time Ice recovered from being seriously injured in the line of duty, according to the AP.

In July of 2016, the K-9 was stabbed while apprehending a suspect during a marijuana eradication operation in Trinity County, California, the U.S. Forest Service said in a press release.

“Despite being injured, Ice wasn’t deterred from his duty until officers took the suspect into custody. Ice was airlifted by California Highway Patrol helicopter to a veterinary hospital in Redding, California, where he was immediately operated upon,” the release said.

To recognize his actions, Ice was voted top dog in the Law Enforcement/Arson Dogs category during the 2017 American Humane Hero Dog Awards, the agency said.

The American Kennel Club’s (AKC) website categorized the Belgian Malinois breed as proud and alert herders.

“The smart, confident, and versatile Belgian Malinois is a world-class worker who forges an unbreakable bond with his human partner. To deny a Mal activity and the pleasure of your company is to deprive him of his very reasons for being,” the site read.

Joe Biden’s Campaign Has Taken Over 15-Year-Old’s Instagram Fan Account

According to a recent report, the Biden campaign has taken over an Instagram fan account with 94,000 followers that was started by a 15-year-old who will now joining the campaign as an official volunteer.

A recent report from the Verge states that the Biden campaign is attempting to improve its online presence by taking over the Instagram account of a 15-year-old Biden supporter that amassed 85,000 followers after creating the account in April. The account was originally called @TeamJoeBiden but has since been changed to @VoteJoe and now has 94,000 followers.

The campaign’s Director of Social and Audience Development, Sarah J. Galvez, spoke to the Verge about the move to acquire the account stating that the campaign was now focusing on digital advertising and social media as a major part of the campaign strategy during the current pandemic. “What we’ve seen blowing up in places both in and outside of politics is a focus on shareable content,” said Galvez. “Previous to this, you would have these conversations with your friends, your colleagues, and your family in person. But as a result of Covid, we’re having these political conversations online.”

The Biden campaign has made a major push in recent weeks to expand its online presence, last Tuesday the campaign announced that it would be launching official designs in the video game Animal Crossing: News Horizons. The campaign also partnered with the celebrity video greeting platform Cameo as part of fundraising efforts.

Despite the Biden campaign’s emphasis on social media, it has struggled with technology. Multiple Biden speeches and presentaitons have been marred with audio and visual glitches, as reported by Breitbart News last week.

Breitbart News reporter Kyle Olsen described Biden’s latest tech foible:

“We’re still down 720 thou—” he continued before his video feed disappeared and only the graphic and sign language interpreter remained.

After a few seconds, Biden reappeared from a side angle and kept talking, but there was no audio.

The candidate’s audio faintly appeared from another microphone in the room. It all eventually returned, nearly a minute after it began.

U.S. Breaks Fentanyl, Meth Seizure Records at Border amid Pandemic

On Friday, September 4, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Commissioner Mark Morgan held his monthly operational update with the media from Laredo, Texas. The August statistics marked the highest to date for Fiscal Year 2020 in the category methamphetamine seizures.

Throughout FY2020, Breitbart Texas extensively monitored ports of entry seizure data as they are the best indicator to understand the output of Mexican cartel clandestine laboratories.

In August, 23,452 pounds of methamphetamine were seized at the ports of entry by CBP, which year-to-date puts totals at 141,663 — more than double the record year set in FY2019 at 68,585 pounds.

There has also been a dramatic increase in fentanyl seizures in the later part of FY2020. While the fiscal year still has one month left, CBP already seized a record 3,302 pounds at ports. The prior record year was marked in FY2019 at 2,545 pounds.

There are several reasons why controlled substances like fentanyl and methamphetamine should be monitored closely. The harm caused to the abusing individual is significant. It is well-documented that when these drugs are continually used, other local index crimes rise in a community.

Another is in the ability to weaponize fentanyl. This has become a national security concern in recent years as use has been on the rise throughout the United States.

“Speed balling” or “poly-using” these drugs in a combination has also increased, according to the DEA 2019 annual threat assessment.

In the 2019 report, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is referenced showing a 47 percent increase in synthetic opioid-involved deaths from 19,413 in 2016 to 28,466 in 2017.

In 2019, the CDC measured the highest levels in overdoses overall since 2015 nearing 71,000.

It should be noted these vast seizure numbers do not include shipments that crossed into the U.S. undetected
