Washington State Patrol Arrest Man Setting Fires Along SR167

PUYALLUP, Wash. — Washington State Patrol says they arrested a man who allegedly set a fire in the brush of the median along State Route 167 in Puyallup.

Trooper Ryan Burke said the Fife and Puyallup police departments arrested a 36-year-old Puyallup man who was caught setting a fire Wednesday afternoon.

The fire began to spread, and the northbound ramp at Meridian was closed. The brush fire was put out shortly after.

Officials didn’t release any further details.
