Fact Check: Media And Democrats Downplayed Coronavirus, Not President Trump

While the media rewrites history because of the Bob Woodward tapes, claiming President Trump ‘knew and did nothing’ to protect Americans from the COVID pandemic, their own words and those of their favorite political party have betrayed them.

In reality, it was the media and top Democrat politicians like Joe Biden who downplayed the pandemic – even attacking President Trump for taking the virus seriously.

The President’s role as a leader requires him to make public statements that quell panic and project calm and confidence. It’s a relatively understood tactic for America’s leader.

That said, Trump stands accused of telling Woodward on February 7th that the COVID pandemic was “more deadly than your, you know, your — even your strenuous flus,” while telling him a month later that he “wanted to always play it down … because I don’t want to create a panic.”

Most people understood why the President would make such comments. But the media and the Democrat Party aren’t most people. They’ve seized on the opportunity to accuse Trump of downplaying the crisis and doing nothing to stop it.

One accusation is hypocritical, while the other is simply false.

The media is lying when they say @realDonaldTrump ‘knew and did nothing.’

The media is a dying industry in this country, and false narratives like this are exactly why they are the enemy of the American people.

Don’t let the enemy win. Vote for Trump!

Trouble mounts for the ECB and Christine Lagarde

Today is ECB ( European Central Bank ) day where we get the results of their latest deliberations. We may get a minor move but essentially it is one for what we have come to call open mouth operations. This is more than a little awkward when the President has already established a reputation for putting her Hermes shod foot in her mouth. Who can forget this from March 12th?

Lagarde: We are not here to close spreads, there are other tools and other actors to deal with these issues.

If you are ever not sure of the date just take a look at a chart of the Italian government bond market as it is the time when the benchmark ten-year yield doubled. As many put it the ECB had gone from “Whatever it takes” to “Whatever.”

This issue has continued and these days President Lagarde reads from a script written for her which begs the issue of whether the questions from the press corps are known in advance? It also begs the issue of who is actually in charge? This is all very different from when prompted by an admiring Financial Time representative she was able to describe herself as a “wise owl” like her brooch. Whoever was in charge got her to change her tune substantially on CNBC later and got a correcting footnote in the minutes.

I am fully committed to avoid any fragmentation in a difficult moment for the euro area. High spreads due to the coronavirus impair the transmission of monetary policy. We will use the flexibility embedded in the asset purchase programme, including within the public sector purchase programme. The package approved today can be used flexibly to avoid dislocations in bond markets, and we are ready to use the necessary determination and strength.

Next comes her promise to unify the ECB Governing Council and have it singing from the same hymn sheet, unlike the term of her predecessor Mario Draghi. This has been crumbling over the past day or two as we have received reports of better economic expectations from some ECB members. This has been solidified by this in Eurofi magazine today.

Now that we have moved past the impact phase of the shock, we can shift our attention toward the recovery phase. Recently, forward looking confidence indicators look robust, while high frequency data suggest that mobility is recovering. These developments solidify the confidence in our baseline projection with a more favorable balance-of-risks. However, even if no further setbacks materialize

economic activity will only approach pre-corona levels at the end of 2022.

That is from Klass Knot the head of the DNB or Netherlands central bank and any doubts about his view are further expunged below.

Relying too heavily on monetary policy to get the job done might have contributed to perceptions of a “central bank put” in the recovery from the euro area debt crisis, where the ECB bore all of the downside risk to the economy.

Might?!

Also it was only a week ago we were getting reports ( more “sauces” ) that the ECB wanted to get the Euro exchange-rate lower. Whereas so far on announcement day it has talked it up.

Obama’s ‘Zionist’ Chief Of Staff

Obama & Rahm Emanuel were found in recent days at the infamous June 4 2008 AIPAC Convention at which Obama grovelled before this all powerful Jewish Lobby. Right after Obama’s shameless speech, “Now Is the Time to Stand By Israel”, Rahm Emanuel endorsed Obama. Emanuel then brought Obama to meet with the AIPAC executive board.

ABC news reported on November 5 2008 that: “Obama likes the fact that Emanuel knows policy, knows politics, knows Capitol Hill. Obama has told associates that he knows that Emanuel will ‘have his back.’”

But of course! Who else would know his way around the Zionist-Jewish infested Capitol Hill but a Zionist Jew himself? Indeed, Jews picked up 5 more seats in the Senate & 18 more seats in Congress this time around.

But what Obama failed to mention is that Rahm Emanuel is super wealthy & a Zionist-Jewish war hawk…

You're Being Gaslighted

What is Gaslighting?

The term originates in the systematic psychological manipulation of a victim by her husband in Patrick Hamilton's 1938 play Gas Light (film adaptations released in 1940 & 44). In the story, the husband attempts to convince his wife and others that she's insane by manipulating small elements of their environment and insisting she's remembering things incorrectly or delusional when she points out the changes.

The play's title alludes to how the abusive husband slowly dims the gas lights in their home but pretends nothing has changed, in an effort to make his wife doubt her own perceptions. The wife repeatedly asks her husband to confirm her perceptions about the dimmed lights, but in defiance of reality, he keeps insisting the lights are the same - and that she is going insane.

These days, we're living in a perpetual state of gaslighting. 'Reality' that the media reports is at complete odds with what we see with our own eyes. When we question the false reality they present, or claim what WE see is actual reality, we are vilified as racist or bigots or just plain crazy.

You're not racist. You're not crazy. You're being gaslighted.

New York State has twice as many deaths from Covid-19 than any other state, and New York has accounted for 1/5 of all Covid-19 deaths, yet we're told that New York Governor Andrew Cuomo handled the pandemic better than any other governor. But if we support policies of Governors whose states had only a fraction of the cases and deaths as New York, we're called anti-science and 'want people to die'.

So, are we crazy? No, we're being gaslighted.

We see mobs of people looting stores, smashing windows, setting cars on fire and burning down buildings, but we're told these demonstrations are peaceful protests. And when we call this destruction of our cities riots, we are called racists.

Are we crazy? No, we're being gaslighted.

We see the problems destroying many inner-cities: murder, gang violence, drug-dealing, drive-by shootings, armed robbery, etc. But we are told that police are the problem in the inner-cities. We're told we must defund the police and remove law enforcement from crime-riddled cities to make them safer. If we advocate for more policing in cities overrun by crime, we are accused of being white supremacists and racists.

Are we crazy? No, we're being gaslighted.

The USA accepts more immigrants than any other country in the world. The vast majority of the immigrants are 'people of color', and these immigrants are enjoying freedom and economic opportunity not available to them in their country of origin. But we are told that the USA is the most racist and oppressive country on the planet, and if we disagree, we are called racist and xenophobic.
