Not to be a nay sayer but 1930s Germany is not much like the US. Germany was full of many different parties vying for power. The Nazis were not an establishment fighting for its existence, they were the new kid on the block trying to overthrow the establishment in a very chaotic country. The same tactics were used in every revolution, including most likely our own. To overthrow a government you need to take away the governments ability to police the populous.

Another way to look at it is, use the left to create chaos until the people beg for law and order, and the right offers it, but they will need your rights to sort things out. Comparing what is happening in the US to Germany would be akin to saying Trump is Hitler and will bring law and order to chaos the communist are spreading. That sounds like where the Left started after the election.

The US police being above the law is exactly what most of the protesters think they are protesting against. And for anyone who does not have deep pockets, that statement is sadly true in too many cases.
