It's always the same, year after year after year after year. The seat of power is not POTUS, as much as we would love for it to be there when "our guy" is in the seat. There are far too many forces working behind the scenes that we only get a glimpse of here and there. Maybe Q gives us a window into that world, but getting through it all the way is never going to happen if we aren't already in the room where the truly powerful operate. The concept of our lives is boiled down to work and family and a little glimpse of success and safety.
Maybe we find a way to escape for a short time. But the clock always runs out. Being in the moment is the only solution I've found that brings some comfort.
If it's not happening right now, it's not happening.
