I like the concept of #3. The human eye is excellent at filling in little gaps. Computer vision systems are not. Our brains also know what to ignore. The tone transitions in the weave pattern don't interfere with our ability to see the image; but they'll confuse the shit out of a neural network.

The only problem is that the block in the middle disrupt fine high-density text, such as Q drops, which are the main thing we're trying to distribute.
