>> Re: Q’s black square algo trick:

So black squares will trick an algo that’s looking for certain images.

What images is it looking for?

Is it just looking for a list of pre-flagged images?

Or is this algo actually trying to “recognize” certain content in new images?

Do our black squares just allow us to re-post images that have already been flagged?

Or do our black squares keep an algo from recognizing ANY content in new images?

It would be good to know exactly what sort of system we’re defeating with this trick for the next 2-4 days.

Strategies could be different, depending.

Regardless – if the internet suddenly has a ton of images circulating with black squares in the corner, people will notice.

They will ask questions.

“Why all the black squares?”

How will you answer?

This whole black square thing might be just as much about getting peoples attention as it is about defeating an algo.
