Civil rights got co-opted… the women's movement got co-opted… the Vietnam war protests got co-opted… the hippuie scene got co-opted… the music scene got co-opted… but it was so much effing fun… no one noticed or cared…
but then assasinations happened (with more frequency, after the obvious big one) abortion was legalized, Vietnam ended horribly and Watergate happened… and the economy went to shit…. big wake up call… what? this isn't Six Flags over ME!!!… this is some real ass shit… fast forward….
