We are never to forget (anon sorta agrees but….).

But, anon also knows, from experience, that folks who have experienced tragedy/trauma dont have the ability to forget what happened, but dont want to relive it again, thus they rarely speak about, or acknowledge, it.

So what was [their] goal in setting up the remembrance memorial?

As a monument to [their] own actions?

To retraumatize the nation all over again?

[They] certainly didnt set it up out of the goodness of their hearts because they have none.
