it simply upends the normie world view: that people in power are more or less like us, and care what happens to us

when in reality, many at the top see us as cannon fodder. if they need to send 50,000 young americans to their death in vietnam to prevent a "domino" falling, why would a couple of thousand more deaths stop them?
