starting wildfires are islamic MO BTW.
The fires in the migrant camp of Moria on the island of Lesbos yesterday and today come to mind, as does the torching of countless churches, the notre dame etc etc…
And to be honest, scorched earth tactics are timeless (or as old as civilization).
