IIRC, the 5 eyes agreement was supposed to be for terrorism related snooping. If a country picked up anything terrorist related they would inform the other country.
Agreed, I was damn sure it was responsible for Canada getting Turdeau as PM. My guess was Obama and HRC wanted a close ally in CAnada.
