Of course there are deals. It is legal in the USA for prosecutors to make deals, and restoration of the Rule of Law, demands that this happen.

If the people really don't like prosecutors doing deals then they can change the law, but in the meantime, the RULE OF LAW is that whatever aws are in effect, are to be followed.
