There are two things to consider. The verse you quoted, I believe, refers to the Second Coming, not the rapture.

Paul tells us we are not appointed to wrath and will be snatched out of harms way. The original Biblical word used is Harpazo. In English rapture has the same meaning. To be snatched up.
