How many FAKE NEWS local outlets have picked up FAKE STORY that disinfo groups are spreading a "rumor" that wildfires in WA and OR have been caused by arson?

 

A lot of them.

This AP story got picked up by local outlets has been repackeaged at least SIXTY times– - gotta go to PAGE 7 on Google Chrome before you run out of references.

And what is the claim that is being made? THIS:

So because we don't yet know the cause of ALL the fires, it's disinfo to say that some fires - and perhaps MANY or MOST of them - have been caused by arson??

 

WEAK CLAIM but widely distributed…..

The local affiliates could and should exercise discretion in picking up stories like this indiscriminantly. But ti's the 4 am talking pts scenario.

A CRAP story becomes influential simply bc it's widely distributed, what a crock.
