Utah CEO pleads guilty to having more than 13,000 files of child pornography

SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) — The CEO of a Utah tech company pleaded guilty to three second-degree felony charges of sexual exploitation of a minor.

Douglas Saltsman, 40, was originally facing 11 charges related to the seizure of more than 13,000 files of graphic child pornography in August 2019.

Considered by many to be a "computer genius," Saltsman is the founder of Saltmine.io – a now-defunct blockchain and cryptocurrency company which was based out of Saltsman's Sandy, Utah home.
