You might wanna do some research. The whole idea that the RCC is based on is that Peter was the first pope. He wasn't. It all hinges on a misinterpretation of one verse of scripture. Peter wasn't in Rome. None of the other apostles treated him in any special way, in fact Paul had to go and correct Peter when he began to feel the pressure. Peter shows many times that he caves under pressure. Look at how he denied Christ 3 times. He was important as an apostle, but was just one elder among many in the church. The "rock" that is the foundation of the church is Christ Himself. Plenty of other verses in the Bible refer to Christ as the "rock". Don't be deceived.
Finally someone mentions the true first pope. He even made it easier for pagan Romans to come into 'Christianity' by e.g. taking pagan symbols etc and giving them 'Christian' definitions, that type of thing. Made sure they didn't feel uncomfortable, because we can't have that! He wanted to bring everyone under one church, and it sure worked.. people still believe in it to this day. It's sure not the church Jesus founded (and yes, Jesus started a church - a group of believers)
