Gregory Stanton, who seems by all accounts to be an unimpeachable character and expert in the field of genocide studies, makes a chilling case in this article: QAnon is a Nazi Cult, Rebranded.

It is short and clear, so it won’t take you long to read it, but the gist is that QAnon’s conspiracy theories are a rebranded version of the Protocols of the Elders of Zion.

Protocols of the Elders of Zion, as described by Stanton, was the most influential anti-Jewish pamphlet of all time, written by Russian anti-Jewish propagandists around 1902. It describes a secret cabal supposedly taking over the world.

They kidnap children, slaughter, and eat them to gain power from their blood. They control high positions in government, banks, international finance, the news media, and the church. They want to disarm the police. They promote homosexuality and pedophilia. They plan to mongrelize the white race so it will lose its essential power.

…Central to its mythology was the Blood Libel, which claimed that Jews kidnapped and slaughtered Christian children and drained their blood to mix in the dough for matzos consumed on Jewish holidays.

Stanton compares this to QAnon:

QAnon purveys the fantasy that a secret Satan-worshiping cabal is taking over the world. Its members kidnap white children, keep them in secret prisons run by pedophiles, slaughter, and eat them to gain power from the essence in their blood. The cabal held the American Presidency under the Clintons and Obama, nearly took power again in 2016, and lurks in a “Deep State” financed by Jews, including George Soros, and in Jews who control the media. They want to disarm citizens and defund the police. They promote abortion, transgender rights, and homosexuality. They want open borders so brown illegal aliens can invade America and mongrelize the white race.

Twitter again flags Trump tweet about voting in North Carolina

Twitter again flagged a tweet from President Trump in which he urged voters to show up at polling sites in North Carolina this election cycle to ensure that their mail-in votes are counted.

The label was just the latest of several instances in which social media companies have stepped in to correct the record on Trump’s scattershot remarks on the election that have, at times, said the race will be “rigged” and that mail-in voting is particularly susceptible to fraud.

Trump's remarks appeared more straightforward than past comments in which he encouraged supporters in North Carolina to actually vote twice — once by mail and once in person — in order to test the integrity of the system.

Still, Twitter said it was flagging the post “for violating our Civic Integrity Policy, specifically for encouraging people to potentially vote twice.”

“To protect people on Twitter, we err on the side of limiting the circulation of Tweets which advise people to take actions which could be illegal in the context of voting or result in the invalidation of their votes,” Twitter said in a post on its @TwitterSafety page.

Twitter said the tweet will remain on the website but that engagements with it will be limited, allowing users to quote-tweet it but not like, reply to or retweet the post.

Saturday is not the first time social media companies have said they would tackle Trump’s comments on voting since he suggested in a local interview in North Carolina that people should vote twice, which is illegal.

Malta Police Force added the rainbow to the right of its insignia, which bears the Latin motto: “Domine, dirige nos,” or, “Lord, guide us.”

The force unveiled the pro-LGBTQ version of its emblem in a September 2 Facebook post with the explanation: “Policing with Pride — supporting Pride Month in #malta.”

In July 2017, three years after Malta legalized same-sex civil unions, its parliament passed a law on a whipped vote to allow two men or two women to call their homosexual relationship a “marriage.”

The bill legalized homosexual “marriage” by replacing the words “husband” and “wife” in the Marriage Act and other related laws with the gender-neutral word “spouse.” The words “mother” and “father” were likewise replaced by “parent.”

“The object of this Bill is to modernise the institution of marriage and ensure that all consenting, adult couples have the legal right to enter into marriage,” stated the legislation.

Moreover, two months earlier, Archbishop Charles Scicluna of the Malta archdiocese criticized as “propaganda” an advertisement by the lay group Maltese Catholics United for the Faith which defended marriage and denounced same-sex “marriage” as unnatural.

Youth Suicides Soar 57% In Past Decade: Is Social Media To Blame?

The suicide rate among Americans ages 10 to 24 increased by 57% between 2007 and 2018, data published Thursday from the National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS) shows. New concerns are mounting that social media could be contributing to the wave of suicides among younger generations.

Between 2007 and 2018, the national suicide rate among persons aged 10–24 increased by 57.4%. The increase was broad, as it was experienced by the majority of states. -NCHS

On a state-by-state basis, the percentage change between 3-year averages of suicide rates for 2007–2009 and 2016–2018 increased down to 47%. The largest increases were seen in New Hampshire, Oregon, Georgia, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Michigan.

Mike Pence scrubs QAnon fundraiser at the last moment

Only 48 hours before Vice President Mike Pence was scheduled to travel to Montana for a fundraiser, the event has been called off.

“Vice President Mike Pence has canceled plans to attend a Trump campaign fundraiser in Montana following revelations that the event’s hosts had expressed support for the QAnon conspiracy theory,” the Associated Press reported Saturday.

“President Donald Trump’s reelection campaign told The Associated Press on Saturday that Pence’s schedule had been changed, but the campaign did not provide a reason or say whether the fundraiser might be held at a later time. The change comes after the AP reported Wednesday that hosts Cayrn and Michael Borland in Bozeman, Montana, had shared QAnon memes and retweeted posts from QAnon accounts,” the AP reported. “The baseless conspiracy theory alleges Trump is battling an entrenched bureaucracy and sex trafficking ring run by pedophiles.”

The top of the Republican Party ticket in Montana had been scheduled to attend. Sen. Steve Daines (R-MT), who is being challenged by Gov. Steve Bullock (D-MT), was billed as planning to attend. As was Rep. Greg Gianforte (R-MT), who is the GOP nominee for governor, and state Auditor Matt Rosendale, who is the nominee for Montana’s lone congressional seat.

“Daines campaign spokesperson Julia Doyle said the first-term senator does not know the Borlands nor ‘does he know what QAnon even is.’ She referred questions on whether the event would be rescheduled to the Trump campaign,” the AP reported. “The Borlands have donated over $220,000 to Trump’s reelection bid, the bulk of which was made in Caryn Borland’s name, and they were guests at the national GOP convention last month.”

“The QAnon narrative has grown to include other long-standing conspiracy theories, gaining traction among some extreme Trump supporters. The movement is often likened to a right-wing cult. Some followers have run for office, primarily in the Republican Party, though some have been independent or run as third-party candidates. Trump has refused to say QAnon is false,” the AP noted.

AstraZeneca Resumes COVID-19 Trials After Halt Over Adverse Reaction

AstraZeneca announced on Saturday that its Phase 3 COVID-19 study would resume, days after a participant fell ill.

The company said in a statement that "the standard review process had triggered a voluntary pause," to all global trials on September 6, and that the Medicines Health Regulatory Authority had given the green light to resume the trials conducted through the University of Oxford after reviewing the safety data.

The company says that it will "continue to work with health authorities across the world and be guided as to when other clinical trials can resume to provide the vaccine broadly, equitably and at no profit during this pandemic."

While the company has been approved to continue testing in the UK, it is unclear whether they can resume trials elsewhere.

At least 18,000 people have received the experimental treatment as part of the trial.

Earlier this week, AstraZeneca CEO Pascal Soriot said during a private conference call that the "potentially unexplained illness" occurred in a UK woman who displayed neurological symptoms consistent with transverse myelitis - a spinal inflammatory disorder, according to STAT News. Soriot also confirmed that the company's clinical research trials had been halted in July after a different participant experienced neurological symptoms which were found to be unrelated to the experimental vaccine.

"In large trials such as this, it is expected that some participants will become unwell and every case must be carefully evaluated to ensure careful assessment of safety," reads a statement from Oxford.

AstraZeneca’s potential coronavirus vaccine, called AZD1222, is among the frontrunners in the race toward a safe and effective vaccine that could put a dent in the global pandemic. The company launched its late-stage trials at the end of August. It’s one of at least three vaccine candidates, along with Pfizer’s and Moderna’s, in late-stage trials.

Officials from the World Health Organization have previous hailed AstraZeneca’s vaccine candidate as one of the most promising currently in development. On Thursday, WHO Chief Scientist Dr. Soumya Swaminathan said there’s no need to be “overly discouraged” by the news of the pause of the trial, adding that “these things happen.” -CNBC

Portland Mayor's Ban on Police Use of Tear Gas Enrages Officers

Portland’s self-inflicted agony continues but at least the rioters will be more comfortable.

Mayor Ted Wheeler has banned police from using CS tear gas to subdue the rioters. Apparently some innocent bystanders got a whiff or two of the stuff — tear gas is not a discriminating weapon — and the rioters objected to the use of the gas as well.

Ever accommodating, especially to the rioters, Wheeler told police they could no longer use the gas in crowd control.

Portland Mercury:

“It’s time for everyone to reduce the violence in our community. We all want change. We all have the opportunity and obligation to create change,” said Wheeler in a Thursday press release. “That’s why, as Police Commissioner, effective immediately and until further notice, I am directing the Portland Police to end the use of CS gas for crowd control.”

Why should the rioters even want to “reduce the violence in our community?” They are trying to foment violence. They want violence. Wheeler is beyond belief.

Wheeler lives in a fantasy world. The rioters aren’t protesting anything. They only want to cause confusion and mayhem. And Wheeler has given them a gift by allowing them to cause disturbances without fear of being handicapped by tear gas.

The Portland Police Department is beside themselves.

“Banning the lawful use of CS will make it very difficult to address this kind of violence without resorting to much higher levels of physical force, with a correspondingly elevated risk of serious injury to members of the public and officers,” the statement reads. “CS, while effective, is a significantly lower level of force than impact weapons, which would very likely be necessary to disperse riotous groups with its prohibition.”

Next on the agenda is banning “impact weapons.” I guess the feeling is if you can’t defund the police, you can disarm them.

“Police need all kinds of tools and resources to effectively respond to violence perpetrated by groups of people,” the statement reads. “Lately, it seems more tools have been taken away than added. There has been mention of research into alternative methods that may prevent the need for greater force. No one has presented a solution of how officers can stop a rioting group who are threatening the lives of those present.”

Well, the solution offered by the protesters is simple: Let ’em riot.

In fact, the legislature convened task forces to look at this very issue. They came up with some interesting solutions — for the rioters.

Ideas, coming both from law enforcement experts and members of the public, have spanned from police officers not wearing armored riot gear during protests in order to de-escalate the situation or training officers on how to make individual arrests without indiscriminately gassing a crowd.

Another solution to quell these demonstrations? Respond to the protester’s demands.

How would police officers leaving themselves wide open to injury or death from rocks, bricks, or slabs of concrete “de-escalate” the situation? Maybe the rioters would prefer a simple crucifixion of some officers.

It’s quite simple; no riots, no tear gas. Is that too hard for people to comprehend? Apparently so.

Sputnik V launched: Russia dispatches first batches of pioneering Covid-19 vaccine to all of its 85 regions

Russia has sent out the initial batches of the world’s first registered coronavirus vaccine to all parts of its vast territory, as authorities test the delivery system of the much-needed drug.

The formula is expected to be delivered on Monday, said Russia’s Health Minister Mikhail Murashko. “The first small batches have already been shipped,” Murashko said, explaining that the government is testing the supply chain to ensure a robust delivery system across the country’s 85 regions. As well as testing the efficacy and safety of the vaccine itself, the government believes it is paramount to ensure the efficient distribution to citizens, especially to those at high risk.

Russia’s homegrown Covid-19 formula is currently in the third and final stage of clinical trials, in which 40,000 Muscovites will take part. While three-quarters will receive the jab, another quarter will be given a placebo. On Wednesday, Moscow’s Deputy Mayor Anastasia Rakova announced that testing had begun, and over 35,000 residents had applied.

“Clinical trials have begun in Moscow,” Murashko said, adding that the ministry had also created “the world’s first mobile application” that allows participants to “report on their condition” throughout the lengthy trial period.

On August 11, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that the country had registered the world’s first Covid-19 vaccine, named Sputnik V. It is being produced by Moscow’s Gamaleya Research Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology. The vaccine’s development process has been criticized by some Western countries for its supposedly unsafe rapid development and improper testing. However, earlier this month, the respected British medical journal The Lancet published the Russian Ministry of Health’s Sputnik V study, showing the vaccine to be 100 percent effective, producing antibodies in all 76 participants of early-stage trials.

Former Al Jazeera head asks Twitter to help compile list of Arab journalists supportive of mending ties with Israel

The former head of Qatar’s Al Jazeera news network wants a list of Arab journalists who backed the decision by the UAE and Bahrain to mend ties with Israel. He said it was for documentation purposes, not to shame them.

“For the purpose of documentation: who are the journalists, writers and politicians who supported UAE and Bahrain’s agreement to normalize relations with Israel?” Yasser Abu Hilala, who was in charge of Qatar’s state broadcaster Al Jazeera Arabic from 2014 to 2018, asked his Twitter followers.

Abu Hilala wanted people to send him names of those journalists and their publications so that he could add them to what he called the #NormalizersList. He suggested three journalists from Jordan, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to start the roster.

The call initially came in Arabic, but was later followed by dozens of tweets in English.

The former Al Jazeera head said that he considered normalization with Israel “a stab in the back” and a betrayal of the rights of the Palestinian people. His stance was in line with the harsh criticism of UAE and Bahrain in Qatar’s media in recent days.

Qatar has difficult relations with its Arab neighbors after the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Egypt implemented an embargo against it in 2017. They accused Doha of supporting terrorism, due to its ties with Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood group, and meddling in the affairs of other countries.

Riyadh and its allies issued an ultimatum, saying that restrictions would only be lifted if Qatar agreed to fulfil a set of demands, including shutting Al Jazeera down. But Doha, which denies any wrongdoing, refused to play along.

In a coronavirus town hall for kids and parents broadcast on Saturday, CNN enlisted the help of Sesame Street’s Big Bird to help kids understand the raft of new restrictions they’ll face when schools open their doors again this month.

Asked what he’s packing in his schoolbag, the kids’ TV favorite listed off the usual essentials – “pencils, paper and crayons” – as well as a mask, hand sanitizer, wipes, and a “distancing stick,” a handcrafted stick to poke away kids who get too close.

The idea isn’t a new one. Chinese students returning to school in April did so wearing winged “one-meter hats,” a wearable reminder to stay at arm’s length from each other. What was then an offbeat news story from China has since become an example of the ‘new normal’ throughout the western world. Masks and plexiglass dividers are common in American elementary schools, and government advisers in Britain have warned that children may experience “anxiety” and “nightmares” upon their return to a socially-distanced, Covid-proofed classroom.

American schools too have snapped up surveillance technology, like thermal imaging cameras with mask detection and face identification functions. Some have gone as far as fitting children with electronic tracking beacons, to determine whether the kids are obeying social distancing rules.

In Ireland, children who exhibited symptoms at one school in Athlone were banished to a garden shed in the school yard, prompting an outcry from parents. At least in the “isolation shed” they won’t need to use their distancing sticks.

Mass vaccination sites named in anticipation of COVID-19 vaccine

Mass vaccination sites are set to open across the City of Melbourne as the Andrews government looks at upskilling health workers to ensure there are enough staff to administer a COVID-19 vaccine.

The City of Melbourne’s medical officer, Dr Ines Rio, said the council had identified five sites – Melbourne Town Hall, Carlton Baths, Community Hub at the Dock, Kensington Town Hall and North Melbourne Town Hall – where the public could be immunised against COVID-19 en masse.

“They work well from a flow point of view, they are big and we have the immunisation staff,” said Dr Rio, who is also chair of the Australian Medical Association's general practitioner section.

Priority groups, which are likely to be frontline health workers and older Australians, would access the vaccine first, with a security guard checking people's identification to ensure they qualified.

Strict infection controls, such as temperature checks, would ensure the vaccines were only administered to people free of COVID symptoms.

As the world anxiously awaits the release of a COVID-19 vaccine, the state government is preparing for a roll-out that would immunise Victorians “as quickly as possible”.

“We have begun investigating potential training programs that may be required to ensure we have the right amount of health staff needed to administer a vaccine,” a Victorian Department of Health and Human Services spokeswoman said.

“Victoria already has pharmacists trained to provide immunisations which will also boost our workforce capacity.”
