There's no way in my mind this can be true. It goes against what I know of the president. Can those who know how to look into things please check this one out? Surely someone else did it and blamed the president.

Seriously? I don't think there are any mountains high enough in that part of Oregon that a laser can travel a straight line over the mountains in CA to get to that target. Even if the earth were flat (which it isn't), I don't think that would be possible. Also, planes can only go so high, so I don't think this could have come from a plane, either. The only other explanation would be that a laser beam can be curved within the atmosphere, and I've never heard that to be true.
Which POTUS interview? You didn't link it or at least tell us who is interviewing him..
