I mean, let’s be honest here. The reason people flee from God is not because they’re revelation about all christophanies, Zeitgeist, Christ consciousness and all that Heretical agnostic trash…it’s because with God and having saving faith in Christ you need to stop looking at porn, smoking stuff, cursing, and being generally evil. Well either the Bible is the Word of God fully or it is not. Either it’s God divinely inspired men to write the Word to convey his message or it isn’t. If you throw away parts, and keep those that meet your philosophy, congrats — you’re doing exactly what I said. You’re throwing out the baby and keeping the bath water.
You stick to your POV using a verse out of context and I’ll stick to what the Bible contextually and hermeneutically teaches me about what I should and should not do. Your philosophy vs the Word of God.
