IIRC, many use balsa wood coring material with fiberglas/carbon fiber skins autoclaved/infused. Suppose coring can rot over time if water gets in through defects/cracks in skin. The generators / nacelles assemblies have bearings and gears. Takes a lot of maintenance and equipment/people and lube to keep those things going.
