The Cloud Gate (Anish Kapoor) in Millennium Park, Chicago, is a sculpture of a seamless, stainless steel surface inspired by liquid mercury. It measures 33 by 66 by 42 feet and weighs 110 short tons (think significance of occult numbers). This mirror-like surface was designed to reflect the Chicago skyline, but its elliptical shape distorts and twists the reflected image. As visitors walk around the structure, its surface acts like a fun-house mirror as it warps their reflections. The iconic Chicago landmark has been used as a location in several movies, including in the final scene Source Code.
