Company Set To Manufacture COVID-19 Vaccine For US Intentionally Sold Faulty Biodefense Products

Evidence of the corruption of the company Emergent BioSolutions has emerged yet again as the firm, set to play a key role in the manufacture of four leading COVID-19 vaccine candidates, has been caught selling the US government a biodefense product it knew was non-functional.

Internal documents and e-mails from the “life sciences” company Emergent BioSolutions reveal that the company was aware that its biodefense product for the treatment of nerve gas exposure, sold under the brand name Trobigard, was both non-functional and untested for safety or efficacy while it was actively marketing the product to the U.S. government.

The firm was well aware of the fact that Trobigard’s functionality and safety in humans had never been tested several months before it was awarded a no-bid $25 million contract in October 2017 and a subsequent $100 million contract in 2019 to supply troves of the product to the State Department. Indeed, the results of the company’s first study on Trobigard’s efficacy in treating exposure to nerve gas were not even available until six weeks after Emergent had won the contract with the State Department and, even then, those results could “not be directly extrapolated to the human situation,” per the study’s authors.

According to internal company records and emails from Emergent employees and government officials obtained by The Washington Post, Emergent’s director of regulatory affairs, Brenda Wolling, stated in July 2017 that “functionality testing has not been successful in this device [Trobigard]” and that even describing Trobigard as “a treatment of nerve agent poisoning” was inaccurate because that claim “implies that we have efficacy data showing it works.”

Emergent BioSolutions declined to answer if the inaccurate marketing claims that Trobigard had been tested for safety and efficacy had been made to State Department officials prior to the awarding of the first contract for Trobigard in October 2017. The company did, however, state that Wolling’s claims had been “taken seriously” but that they did “not necessarily represent the company’s position.”

Notably, Wolling had sent internal warnings about Trobigard to colleagues a year prior, in 2016, telling Emergent salespeople to “exclude efficacy claims” about the biodefense product when marketing it to potential buyers. She specifically stated that “we have not substantiated that this co-formulated product is efficacious or safe, and have never tested against nerve agents as an antidote.” Also in 2016, a former Emergent executive, Dan Mallon, was also found to have admitted to Emergent employees that “Emergent sales representatives had made unsupported claims about Trobigard to clients.”

Even Emergent’s spokeswoman Nina DeLorenzo has since openly acknowledged that “Emergent has not tested the safety or efficacy of atropine and obidoxime co-formulated,” meaning that the combination of the two drugs that compose Trobigard has never been found to be safe or even work.

Bubba Wallace Quits Richard Petty Motorsports After Noose Hoax Rocked Race World

In late June NASCAR driver Bubba Wallace made national headlines after he claimed nefarious characters hung a noose in his garage at Talladega.

Bubba is one of two black NASCAR drivers.

At the time NASCAR released a statement revealing that a noose was reportedly found in top driver Bubba Wallace’s Talladega garage stall.

But after several days of investigating by several agents the FBI released a statement on its investigation at the Talladega Superspeedway and determined that Bubba Wallace was not the target of a hate crime.

As The Gateway Pundit suspected, there was no noose.

Via the FBI: “The FBI learned that garage 4, where the noose was found, was assigned to Bubba Wallace last week. The investigation also revealed evidence, including authentic video confirmed by NASCAR, that the noose found in garage number 4 was in that garage as early as October 2019.”

In other words, the garage door pull rope wasn’t imagined as a noose until a racist narrative needed to be pushed out to the public.

In fact the alleged “noose” had been hanging in the same garage for several months before Bubba moved in.

Bubba Wallace refused to apologize and says he would do it all again if he found himself in a similar situation.

And now after setting the race world on fire Bubba Wallace announced this week that he will leave Richard Petty Motorsports.

Expect a lucrative book contract and speaking tour in his future.

While mainstream media have been eager to report sometimes highly dubious allegations* of Russian interference in U.S. political processes, they are ignoring detailed reports of Israel secretly funding U.S. organizations to influence Americans. It is illegal in the United States to use money from a foreign government to advocate for that country without declaring the funding.

Yet, there seems to have been no coverage of this matter in the New York Times, Washington Post, Associated Press, Fox News, etc. (Such media omission on Israel is not rare. Mainstream media have also failed to report on current legislation to give Israel a $38 billion aid package; this amounts to over $7,000 per minute.)

According to reports in the Israeli media, Jewish publications in the US, and one Christian news site (see below), documents have been obtained from the Israeli government that detail covert Israeli actions to funnel money to pro-Israel organizations in the United States.

This is not the first time that pro-Israel organizations have used Israeli money to influence American political discourse, and it’s not the first time that the media have covered it up.

In the early 1960s Senator William Fulbright conducted hearings that produced nearly 300 printed pages of testimony exposing the Israel lobby to be one of the “most effective networks of foreign influence” in the United States. Author Alfred Lilienthal reported:

“This penetration by masked funds, as revealed by Senator Fulbright, […included] such techniques to influence public opinion in favor of a pro-Israeli foreign policy as ‘placement of articles on Israel in some of America’s leading magazines,’ arranging for radio and TV programs ‘sympathetic’ to Israel, and subsidizing trips to Israel by such ‘public opinion molders’ as Christian clergymen, academics and mass media representatives.”

Erdogan to Macron: ‘You cannot lecture us on humanity’

Recalling France’s massacres in Algeria and Rwanda, the Turkish president said the French president “cannot lecture us on humanity”, Anadolu Agency reported.

Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s remarks came at a symposium held on Democracy and Freedom Island against coup.

In a direct reference to President Emmanuel Macron, Erdogan said “You [Macron] have no knowledge of history. You do not know the history of France.”

“Turkey is no longer a partner in the Mediterranean region,” said the French president, claiming NATO ally Turkey had some unacceptable encounters with a French ship off the coast of Libya.

Turkey on Thursday condemned Macron over his “arrogant” remarks made with “colonial reflexes”. In a statement, the Turkish Foreign Ministry said Macron endangers EU interests with his “individual and nationalistic stance.”

AT&T’s 5G is Slower Than 4G in Almost Every City Tested — And Other Telecom Broken 5G Promises

5G is so controversial that it’s recently been the topic of Dilbert comic strips. It’s also the subject of lawsuits for installation on land (see 1, 2, 3, 4, 5) and in space. Opposition is worldwide due to a multitude of health, environmental (see 1, 2, 3), safety, and liability risks.

If 5G is installed near your home – it WILL reduce your property value. Cities AND entire countries have taken action to ban, delay, halt, and limit installation AS WELL AS issue moratoriums (see 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7). American opposition includes federal agencies and other experts who warn that it threatens national security, public safety, and weather forecasting accuracy (see 1, 2, 3).

AT&T’s Current 5G is slower than 4G in Nearly Every City Tested

AT&T phones often get just 5MHz of 5G spectrum, slowing them down in speed tests.

Summary:

AT&T and T-Mobile 5G use the same low-band spectrum bands they use for 4G, ensuring wider coverage but without huge speed boosts.

Verizon 5G’s ultra-high speed and sparse availability are because it uses the 28GHz spectrum band, which offers plenty of capacity but without the ability to cover long distances or penetrate walls and other obstacles.

AT&T’s 5G is Slower Than its 4G

AT&T smartphone users who see their network indicators switch from “4G” to “5G” shouldn’t necessarily expect that they’re about to get faster speeds. In PCMag’s annual mobile-network testing, released today, 5G phones connected to AT&T got slower speeds than 4G phones in 21 out of 22 cities.

PCMag concluded that “AT&T 5G right now appears to be essentially worthless,” though AT&T’s average download speed of 103.1Mbps was nearly as good as Verizon’s thanks to a strong 4G performance. Of course, AT&T 5G should be faster than 4G in the long run—this isn’t another case of AT&T misleadingly labeling its 4G network as a type of 5G. Instead, the disappointing result on PCMag’s test has to do with how today’s 5G phones work and with how AT&T allocates spectrum.

The counterintuitive result doesn’t reveal much about the actual differences between 4G and 5G technology. Instead, it’s reflective of how AT&T has used its spectrum to deploy 5G so far. As PCMag explained, “AT&T’s 5G slices off a narrow bit of the old 850MHz cellular band and assigns it to 5G, to give phones a valid 5G icon without increasing performance. And because of the way current 5G phones work, it often reduces performance.”

AT&T’s 4G network benefits from the aggregation of channels from different frequencies. “The most recent phones are able to assemble up to seven of them—that’s called seven-carrier aggregation, and it’s why AT&T [won the PCMag tests] last year,” the article said.

For European Chemical Giants, Brazil Is an Open Market for Toxic Pesticides Banned at Home

Brazil is the world’s largest user of pesticides, including more than a dozen considered highly hazardous, thanks to permissive legislation that allows some of Europe’s biggest agrochemical companies to continue selling products that have been banned in their home market.

The toxicity of these pesticides has raised concerns: 22 of them are classified as highly hazardous pesticides, or HHPs, by the Pesticide Action Network (PAN), a global coalition that advocates for eco-friendly alternatives to chemical pesticides. The classification is based on criteria developed by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the U.N. Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO): in humans, they can be toxic to the reproductive system, damaging to DNA, or carcinogenic, as well as fatal to bees and other pollinators.

Even though these products have been banned in other countries, companies like Bayer, BASF and Syngenta make millions of dollars selling them in Brazil. According to IBAMA, the Brazilian environmental agency, more than 63,000 tonnes of just 10 of these 22 pesticides were sold in 2018. Sales of the other 12 products were not reported because of commercial confidentiality; IBAMA only discloses data on active ingredients manufactured by three or more companies. It also doesn’t break down the amounts sold by each company.

The companies

The global pesticide market generated $ 34.4 billion in 2017, according to the FAO. And the industry is increasingly controlled by a handful of companies. Headquartered in Switzerland, Syngenta is part of the ChemChina group, a world leader in the sector. German company Bayer comes second. It experienced massive growth in 2018 after acquiring Monsanto, which produces Roundup, a herbicide based on glyphosate, the world’s best-selling pesticide. Rounding out the top three is Germany’s BASF. Together, the three companies control 54.7% of the global agrochemical industry.

Some 250 protesters detained at rally in Minsk

According to the Interior Ministry, 17 hotbeds of protest activity were recorded in Belarus

MINSK, September 13. /TASS/. Belarusian law enforcement agencies detained nearly 250 participants of a rally in Minsk on Sunday, the Interior Ministry’s official spokesperson, Olga Chemodanova, said on her Telegram channel.

"In various areas of the capital some 250 people were detained," the statement said. "All of them used flags and other symbolics, which had not been registered in accordance with the established procedure, and various posters, including insulting ones."

According to the Interior Ministry, as of 3 p.m. 17 hotbeds of protest activity were recorded in Belarus and the total number of participants did not exceed 3,000.

The law enforcement agencies warned protesters that they would face administrative responsibility for taking part in unauthorized events and criminal responsibility for organizing mass riots.

Mass protests have been held in Belarus since the August 9 presidential election. Incumbent President Alexander Lukashenko secured victory garnering 80.1% of the vote. Svetlana Tikhanovskaya, who was considered as his key rival, came in second with 10.12% of the vote. She did not recognize the results of the vote and took part in creating the opposition’s Coordination Council. In the first days, the rallies morphed into fierce clashes between the protesters and the law enforcement officers. The opposition is calling to continue protests while the authorities are demanding the end of illegal rallies.

China mobilizing 'whole of society' in ramped-up intelligence operations, spy expert warns

Regime's "approach to espionage negatively affects America’s economy, diplomatic influence, and military capabilities," writes Nicholas Eftimiades in new monograph, "Chinese Espionage: Operations and Tactics."

Beijing has greatly increased its espionage activities in the last 20 years, dispatching its "whole of society" to the detriment of international targets, according to a renowned expert on Chinese intelligence operations.

"China's 'whole of society' approach to espionage negatively affects America’s economy, diplomatic influence, and military capabilities," wrote Nicholas Eftimiades in "Chinese Espionage: Operations and Tactics," his newly published monograph. "In addition, China's actions threaten European national and economic security through espionage and coercion against government entities and business decision making."

A former intelligence official who served in the CIA, the State Department, and Defense Intelligence Agency, Eftimiades told Just the News that he examined nearly 600 Chinese foreign intelligence efforts, and interviewed defectors and other insiders, aiming to show a current picture of Chinese intelligence operations.

"There are several books available on China's espionage operations, but they are journalistic or historical accounts," Eftimiades said. The monograph is the first in a series of analytical works on China's current intelligence activities, economic espionage, and associated methods.

Key to the findings are that Chinese espionage tradecraft — the techniques of spying — has improved in the last four years, largely in response to U.S. counterintelligence efforts.

One recent development, Eftimiades noted, is the use of the "dead drop" method — long favored by other nations' intelligence agencies — wherein one spy deposits an item in a secret location, to be retrieved later by another spy.

The analysis from Eftimiades comes at a time when U.S. officials increasingly have raised the alarm against Chinese intelligence.

"The greatest long-term threat to our nation's information and intellectual property, and to our economic vitality, is the counterintelligence and economic espionage threat from China," FBI Director Christopher Wray said in a July speech at the Hudson Institute in Washington, D.C. "It's a threat to our economic security — and by extension, to our national security."

China maintains a significant focus on economic espionage, the Department of Justice found.

"About 80 percent of all economic espionage prosecutions brought by the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) allege conduct that would benefit the Chinese state, and there is at least some nexus to China in around 60 percent of all trade secret theft cases," the DOJ said in a Sept. 4 statement.

Coronavirus lockdown: Gov't approves three-week closure

Schools to close on Friday * Airport likely not to lockdown * Ministers spar of details of closure

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Health Minister Yuli Edelstein and coronavirus commissioner Prof. Ronni Gamzu will address the nation on Sunday night after an hours-long cabinet meeting meant to determine the fate of the country over the next two to six weeks.

The decision to impose a three-week closure from Rosh Hashanah through Sukkot was approved by the government after a meeting that lasted more than seven hours. The closure passed despite many ministers expressing opposition to the plan the the coronavirus cabinet passed last week to help stop the spread of the novel virus.

The lockdown is expected to start at 2 p.m. on Friday.

The plan was originally to start the lockdown at 6 a.m., but ministers pushed back that people needed more time to prepare for the holiday.

"I will vote in favor of the closure with a full heart," Interior Minister Arye Deri said, "but we need to start the closure not at 6 a.m. on Friday, but later, to give people more time to prepare on the eve of the holiday."

The government also approved that schools will continue to operate through Friday, the eve of Rosh Hashanah. The original plan called for the education system to cease operating on Wednesday.

Netanyahu said that the school system will remained close for at least two weeks and then the government will consider opening up preschools and elementary schools, depending on the rate of infection.

The public will not be allowed to venture more than 500 meters from home and stores, restaurants and all places for recreation and leisure activities will be closed.

It is expected that private places of work will be allowed to continue operating, while an outline for the public sector will be established in the coming days.

It was expected that there would not be a final decision about closing down Ben-Gurion Airport on Sunday and that this decision would be pushed off. According to N12, the airport is likely to be excluded from the lockdown, but a decision will only be finalized after a small committee headed by Transportation Minister Miri Regev meets on Monday.

Finally, grocery stores, pharmacies and other essential providers will be allowed to operate.

Pfizer Has COVID-19 Vaccine In Production, Says Rejecting Federal Funding Gave Scientists Freedom

Pharmaceutical company Pfizer believes their COVID-19 vaccine may be finished by the end of October. They’re already manufacturing the vaccine, so they’ll be ready to go if the vaccine works and the government approves.

Pfizer head Albert Bourla told CBS’s “Face the Nation” that their studies and trials will wrap up by Halloween. “We started already manufacturing and we have already manufactured hundreds of thousands of doses, so just in case we have a good study readout, conclusive and FDA, plus the advisory committee feels comfortable that we will be ready," he said.

Still, they aren’t done studying the vaccine yet. The Phase Three trial is expanding from 30,000 participants to 44,000. Bourla says that they’ll hopefully have results at the end of next month. “We have a good chance that we will know if the product works by the end of October,” he said.

Pfizer did not accept federal funding for their coronavirus vaccine development. They will eat the cost of the “hundreds of thousands of doses” if the study doesn’t turn out as they hope.

Bourla believes rejecting federal funding gives scientists more freedom.

“I wanted to liberate our scientists from any bureaucracy,” he said. “When you get money from someone that always comes with strings. They want to see how we are going to progress, what type of moves you are going to do. They want reports. I didn't want to have any of that. I wanted them — basically, I gave them an open checkbook so that they can worry only about scientific challenges, not anything else. And also, I wanted to keep Pfizer out of politics.”

At Afghan Peace Talks, The Hard Work Begins

Afghan government negotiators expressed cautious optimism for progress on thorny issues including ceasefires as peace talks with the Taliban got underway in Doha on Sunday.

A slick opening ceremony in Doha on Saturday saw the Afghan government, and allies including the US, call for a ceasefire.

But the Taliban, who have fought a guerrilla campaign against both since they were forced from power in 2001, did not mention a truce as they came to the negotiating table.

The head of the peace process for the Afghan government, Abdullah Abdullah, suggested the Taliban could offer a ceasefire in exchange for the release of more of their jailed fighters.

"This could be one of their ideas or one of their demands," said Abdullah who left Doha for Kabul on Sunday night as scheduled.

He said the talks should continue in the "spirit of moving towards peace".

"There should first be a significant reduction in violence, then humanitarian ceasefires, and then a nationwide and permanent ceasefire," he said.

China’s Human Rights Record Under Scrutiny As Sino-EU Summit Draws Near

Over 60 members of the European Parliament and rights group Reporters Without Borders (RSF) are calling on top European leaders to address China’s human rights issues at the upcoming virtual EU-China summit to be held on Sept. 14.

Chinese leader Xi Jinping will co-host the meeting with Charles Michel, president of the European Council, which defines the European Union’s general policies and priorities. Ursula von der Leyen, president of the European Commission, the EU’s executive branch, and German Chancellor Angela Merkel will also participate in the meeting. Germany currently holds the rotating EU presidency.

The meeting, originally scheduled to be held in the German city of Leipzig, will be held via video conference instead due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to the European Council website, the four will discuss climate change, economic and trade issues, as well as responses to the pandemic, which is caused by the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus, commonly known as the novel coronavirus.

The online summit on Monday is under close scrutiny as relations between China and the EU have soured recently. In March last year, the European Commission called China “a systematic rival” in a report about the bilateral relationship. Last month, EU Foreign Minister Joseph Borrell called China “a new empire” and asked EU members to “correct” their economic imbalances with China, in a commentary published in French newspaper Le Journal de Dimanche.

Meanwhile, 63 members of the European Parliament signed a joint letter addressed to Michel, Von der Leyen, and Merkel, urging them to “ensure that there will be consequences if the Chinese government continues to flaunt its human rights obligations. We call for the EU to put human rights at the top of the agenda at the EU-China Summit and in future discussions.”

An improvised explosive device ripped through the general’s car on a road between the towns of Inkhil and Jasim in the northern countryside of the governorate. The general survived the attack. However, he sustained light wounds.

Brig. Gen. Abdul-Rajab, originally from Deir Ezzor, is one of the GID’s top commanders in Daraa and the rest of southern Syria.

A few years ago, the general was the head of the GID’s “Branch 295,” which is responsible for a vast part of Damascus countryside. In 2018, he reportedly played a key role in the talks leading to the reconciliation agreement in Daraa.

Currently, Brig. Gen. Abdul-Rajab is responsible for several intelligence posts and at least ten checkpoints of the GID in northern and western Daraa, according to local forces.

This was the second attack to target a senior officer in Daraa this week. On September 10, Brig. Gen. Talal al-Qasim of the Syrian Arab Army’s 5th Division was assassinated in eastern Daraa. The recent attacks highlight the lack of security in the governorate.

No group has claimed responsibility for any of the two attacks, so far. ISIS and local radicals in Daraa remain the main suspects.

Judging by the way the media and medical authorities are reprimanding public events organized by right-leaning organizations, it appears beyond doubt that the coronavirus outbreak is being used as a political weapon to influence the outcome of the 2020 presidential election.

In early August, an estimated 460,000 motorcyclists took part in the annual pilgrimage to South Dakota. The Sturgis Biker Rally, which has been a major draw since 1938, is a 10-day event that generates hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue, much of it made on alcohol-fueled fun and revelry. In other words, as the party poopers would say, the ideal conditions for a deadly virus to sweep through a broad swath of the population, leaving behind incalculable loss of life in its wake.

So now that the coronavirus has surpassed its Sturgis incubation period, how many reckless bikers lost their lives for not honoring social-distancing protocols at crowded hotspots for multiple days and nights on end? You may want to have a seat, this will shock you. The current death rate stands at just one (1) person. That’s right, as USA Today reported, the unidentified victim was a “Minnesota man…in his 60s and had underlying health conditions.” In other words, not exactly the sort of outcome one would expect under a code-red pandemic.

Nevertheless, a study by the IZA Institute of Labor Economics (which receives its funding, oddly enough, from Deutsche Post) has described the biker rally as a coronavirus “super spreading event” that led to an estimated $12.2 billion in public health costs. I repeat, $12.2 billion dollars all on a single Covid-related fatality. While not denying that all lives matter, that seems a bit over the top. So how did it happen?

Well, the authors of the study, using the latest location-tracking technology from SafeGraph Inc., received a digital readout of bikers congregating in Sturgis before getting back on their Harleys and taking their viral stowaways on a joyride around the country; a bit like the Black Death teaming up with Hell’s Angels. This noxious combination, the researchers say, accounted for 266,796 new cases of Covid-19. At this point, however, the authors take some real liberties with the figures.

“If we conservatively assume that all of these cases were non-fatal, then these cases represent a cost of over $12.2 billion, based on the statistical cost of a COVID-19 case of $46,000…,” they wrote. In other words, the assumption is made that all of the 266,796 individuals who contracted the virus required lengthy hospital care in order to recover from their illnesses. Yet considering that the majority of people who have COVID are asymptomatic, or are able to recover at home without medical attention, the $12.2billion dollar price tag for the biker rally appears immediately suspicious.

New Pro-Iranian Shiite Armed Group Surfaced In Iraq

Another pro-Iranian Shiite armed group called “Saraya al-Muntaqim” [the Avenger Regiments] has been formed in Iraq.

The group announced its formation in an official statement released on September 12. In its first statement, the group vowed to fight U.S. forces in Iraq.

“We will shake the ground under the feet of the occupiers [U.S. forces], and our weapons will reach their stinking dens and meager convoys,” the statement reads.

Saraya al-Muntaqim also promised to avenge Iranian Quds Force Commander, Maj. Gen. Qassim Soleimani, and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, Deputy-Commander of the Popular Mobilization Units. The two commanders were killed in a U.S. drone strike on January 3.

The assassination of Soleimani and al-Muhandis provoked a new wave of attacks against U.S. forces in Iraq. Dozens of attacks have been carried out since January.

The recent attacks were carried out by newly-formed pro-Iranian Shiite armed group, such as Usbat al-Tha’ireen, the al-Muhandis’ Revenge Brigade, the Zulfiqar Force and the Islamic Resistance in Iraq – ‘Ashab al-Kahf.

It remains unclear if these new groups are receiving support from the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps or its Iraqi allies, like Kata’ib Hezbollah.

An officer was responding to a fire call by Magnolia and Riverside; there had been several fallen power lines that day, so he went to investigate.

Instead, he found grass and a pallet on fire outside of a business, with no way it could have started outside of arson, according to Police. A few blocks away, the same officer spotted another fire in an alleyway, next to an old oil drum by a garage and some trees.

The officer called the Fire Department in, who put out those flames.

Given the nature of these fires, the officer called in more units to help investigate. Witnesses told police they saw a woman leaving the locations of both fires, and their description of her was the same.

Officers eventually identified 36-year-old Christine Comello, who lied to police about her name. Comello had a felony warrant for burglary and reckless burning, tied to another incident a few weeks prior where she reportedly started fires at a Spokane Valley business.

When performing a search of Christine Comello in Spokane on Facebook, the account shows the following picture:

A review of court records in Spokane shows that earlier this year there may have been an order of protection against her.

A horrifying video has emerged showing police officers booting an unmasked man in the head during a brutal arrest in Melbourne.

Shocking footage posted online on Sunday shows a group of officers chasing a man on to the median strip of a road in Epping in the city's north.

Once surrounded, an officer can be seen kicking the shirtless man as he lay flat on the ground, rolling him into a face-down position.

As the man wriggles in an attempt to get up, a second officer kicks his head down.

The group of six officers then pile on to the man's back to pin him down before putting him in handcuffs.

Distressed onlookers watching the skirmish unfold pulled over in their car to film.

'Are you f*g kidding me?' the driver can be heard saying.

The motorist then yells at the police to stop kicking the man before his passenger urges him to be quiet.

Victoria Police said the incident unfolded after officers were called to Cooper Street to reports of a male behaving erratically about 4.10pm.

'Upon arrival the male allegedly became aggressive and damaged a police vehicle whilst attempting to avoid arrest,' a police spokesperson told Daily Mail Australia .

'During the highly dynamic incident a police officer was assaulted and OC spray was deployed before the man was arrested and subsequently taken to hospital for assessment.'

The arrest has been referred to Professional Standards Command.

The disturbing incident came just hours after hundreds of protesters clashed with police during a violent anti-lockdown demonstration at the Queen Victoria Market, in the city's CBD.

Man Who Threatened To “Off MAGA People” at Protest Pleads Guilty To Federal Charge

A man who brandished an assault rifle at a Black Lives Matter protest in Lubbock has pleaded guilty to making threats.

Emmanuel Quinones, a 25-year-old local, was charged via criminal complaint in early June and indicted a week later. He pleaded guilty to interstate threatening communications via videoteleconference Friday morning.

According to plea papers, Quinones admitted he brought a loaded Smith & Wesson .223 caliber semi-automatic rifle to a protest decrying the death of George Floyd.

In view of the protesters, Quinones held the rifle at “low ready,” in firing position with the muzzle pointed toward the ground, as panic rippled through the assembled crowd. He refused a Lubbock Police officer’s verbal commands to drop the rifle, and only did so when the officer drew his gun and a protestor moved to tackle him.

Prior to the protest, Quinones admitted, he posted threatening messages online:

In a May 28 Facebook post, he wrote, “While a race riot erupted in Minneapolis the President literally retweeted a video of one of his supporters saying the only good Democrat is a dead Democrat. These people are PUSHING for America to rip itself to shreds. Disgusting. I’ll tell you right now if you keep provoking regular people we’ll make sure you never cross that line ever again. I guarantee it. #MountUp.”

In another post later that same day, he intimated that he planned to obtain gun parts “to off racists and MAGA people.”

Quinonnes now faces up to five years in federal prison.

California lawmakers passed a bill Monday that would reduce penalties for adults who have oral or anal sex with a willing minor child if the sex offender is within ten years of the age of the victim.

According to SB 145, the legislation “would exempt from mandatory registration” as a sex offender “a person convicted of certain offenses involving minors if the person is not more than 10 years older than the minor and if that offense is the only one requiring the person to register.”

The measure would allow a judge to decide if an adult who engages in oral or anal sex with a child must register as a sex offender if that person is within ten years of the age of the victim.
