Core Beliefs

Our beliefs should be in line with the current scientific understanding of the world. We value rational inquiry, skepticism, the scientific method, and basic logical reasoning. We acknowledge the place of beliefs to give comfort or support, but these are not a replacement for reason and logic. We believe religion can and should be divorced from superstition. As a group, we deny the existence of the supernatural.

We will not allow another’s belief in the supernatural to influence our decision-making process. We never attack people, only their ideas.

1 Willful Ignorance is the single greatest foe facing our world today. Willful Ignorance towards a dogmatic end denies reality and rejects logic. It perpetuates racism, sexism, child abuse, anti-science views, and is a major cause of most conflicts. We believe this to be a societal and intellectual dead-end.

2 It is the duty of each Satanist to mock, blaspheme, tear down, and to otherwise destroy ignorance wherever it is found and to help people come out from abusive systems of ignorance. Willful Ignorance has no place in the modern world.

3 We promote compassion and empathy as these are the tools we need to understand one another and grow as individuals and as a community. We use reason and empathy to guide all of our interactions with others. We believe in taking the path that does the least harm to those around us, in violence only as self-defense, and to do our best to understand the reasons behind other’s actions before reacting to them.

4 We do not kneel to tyrannical or arbitrary authority, and we reject oppressive dogmas. No one should be given preferential treatment or be denied basic rights and respect based on income, social status, race, culture, gender, or sexuality. All Humans should be treated with a level of respect based on the content of their character.

5 We value bodily autonomy and individual sovereignty. Bodily autonomy is the right of every Human. Every Human has the right to change, alter, or intake any substance into their body. They do not have the right to put others in danger with these actions. No one has the right to dictate the use of another’s body unless that person is not mentally sound to make those health decisions for themselves. We actively support transgender rights, sex worker rights, and reproductive freedom.

6 We don’t believe anyone should be criticized for individual circumstances such as race, sexual orientation, gender identity, or ability.

7 There is never an excuse for abuse. It is the duty of every Satanist to defend those who can’t defend themselves. Parents do not have the right to deny medical care to their child or to put that child in danger for the sake of their traditions or beliefs.

8 It is our individual responsibility to do our best to rectify mistakes we make and resolve any harm we may have personally caused. We, as Satanists, must be able to admit that we can and will be wrong at times. We don’t know everything. We can only act on the evidence we have at a given time, but we will act differently as new evidence is found.

San Francisco to Decide if 16-Year-Olds May Vote in Local Elections

San Francisco residents will vote in November to determine if 16 and 17-year-olds should be allowed to vote in local elections, NBC News reported Saturday.

“I really think that Vote 16 will help youth of color in San Francisco establish the habit of voting at an earlier age, and really provide them with the support and the resources that they need to continue building on that habit as they grow older,” said 18-year-old Vote 16 SF organizer Crystal Chan.

If the proposition is passed in November, San Francisco will be the first major U.S. city to give the age group the right to vote in local elections, according to the NBC report.

Vote 16 SF’s website said teens have a “stake in the game” and demanded local officials “treat them as equal constituents.”

The site continued:

Sixteen- and 17-year-olds are affected by local political issues as much as anyone. They also work without limits on hours, and pay taxes on their income, can drive, and in some cases are tried in adult courts. Sixteen- and 17-year-olds deserve the right to vote on issues that affect them on the local level. Further, voting is the most reliable way for ordinary citizens to influence the government. Lowering the voting age would make sure local politicians to listen to sixteen- and 17-year-olds and address their needs.

Lowering the voting age would allow students to “directly apply what they’re learning in the classroom in their communities [and] would add a crucial level of relevance to civics courses,” the site added.

However, Colorado College senior and Republican activist Nate Hochman told NBC he did not support the initiative because young people might not be able to recognize good governance.

“Sixteen-year-olds — they’re sophomores, juniors in high school like they’re deeply impressionable. They’re largely interested in learning what, you know, their friends are doing and appearing to be cool,” Hochman said.

“And they’re not capable of making completely rational decisions about voting. When are you an adult? When do we trust you to make your own decisions about who you are in the world and making your own way?” he added.

Despite concerns, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) said in March 2019 that the voting age should be lowered to 16, according to Breitbart News.

“I think it’s really important to capture kids when they are in high school when they are interested in all of this, when they are learning about government, to be able to vote,” she commented.

Pelosi’s comments were in defense of H.R. 1, the “For the People Act,” which Republicans said would enable voter fraud and lean more favorably toward Democrats, the Breitbart News report said.

Princeton prof challenges university's 'systemic racism' narrative

Princeton’s president wrote a letter to the community regarding plans to “combat systemic racism at Princeton and beyond.”

The letter was in response to a July 4 letter from faculty demanding he take anti-racist action.

Now, a mathematics professor at the university has responded, saying, “Princeton is not in the least racist.”

A mathematics professor at Princeton University is now calling out the Ivy League institution's president, Christopher Eisgruber, after he released a letter to the community regarding his plans to “combat systemic racism” at Princeton. The president’s statement was in response to an open letter from more than 350 faculty members on July 4 demanding that he take anti-racist action.

In an op-ed for Newsweek, Professor Sergiu Klainerman wrote, “By yielding to the manifest falsehood that Princeton is a racist institution, he makes it impossible for him to defend Princeton's values.”

“Princeton is not in the least racist. Most people know this. Certainly the president does, and I suspect most of the signatories of the July 4th letter do as well.”

“Princeton is not in the least racist,” Klainerman continued. “Most people know this. Certainly the president does, and I suspect most of the signatories of the July 4th letter do as well.”

Klainerman found fault with the president’s letter for failing to acknowledge the “truly remarkable” modern story of redemption by Princeton and many other American universities. He went on to point out that, in the 1930s, Princeton led the nation by welcoming Jewish and other refugee scientists from Nazi Europe. Klainerman also highlighted that Asian Americans now make up a fourth of the student body.

Klainerman said that “to promote excellence in research and teaching, major American universities have to develop policies that are blind to considerations of race, ethnicity, religion, sex, socio-economic class and any other factor not relevant to intellectual achievement.”

Once a young refugee from Romania, Klainerman said this “extraordinary” approach allowed him to pursue his dream of becoming a research mathematician in the U.S. and achieve success beyond his expectations.

Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Charles Receive a Warning Over Their Excessive Spending

The issue of taxpayer support for the UK royal family has been debated for a long time, culminating in 1992 when Windsor Castle caught fire. At the time most people surveyed suggested that taxpayers not pay for restoration work.

Queen Elizabeth II and her son and heir to the throne, Prince Charles, received a warning from an unaffiliated politcal action group over "millions of pounds" spent to maintain the monarchy in the nation. The warning came from Graham Smith, CEO of 'Republic', a British political lobbying firm that campaigns for the abolition of the monarchy in the United Kingdom. Smith says it is difficult to say for certain how much money the royals spend, because not all their finances are disclosed, but claimed that the biggest spenders are Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Charles. The activist criticized the Prince of Wales for excessive spending on luxury travel around the world.

"What I would say is that Prince Charles takes £20million ($25.5 million) at least every year from the Duchy of Cornwall which is money that should be going to the treasury so that is a huge chunk of the overall cost of the monarchy. On top of that he also has various things paid for him by the government directly, certain areas of travel for example and obviously security. So, he is probably one of the most expensive members of the royal family", Smith stated to the Daily Express.

Smith claims that there is a competition between members of the royal family on "who can spend the most". Queen Elizabeth II, Smith says, is undoubtedly the biggest spender.

"Certainly, someone like Prince Andrew has also shown himself to be quite causal with publicly-funded travel, with helicopter flights and private jets and so on. It is very hard to pinpoint one over the other, but we know that the Queen and Charles take millions of pounds from the two Duchies. Obviously the Queen spends an awful lot because she is the head of state and the head of the firm so she is responsible for most of that £345 million ($441 million) a year", Smith told the Daily Express.

Smith and his lobbying company want to transform the United Kingdom from a constitutional monarchy into a republic with an elected head of state. Instead of a queen, the organization wants to choose a person that will represent the nation independently of UK politicians.

Debate on royal spending reemerged this year after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced on 8 January that they would step down from senior roles in the royal family and become financially independent. Particular focus was placed on the more than $3 million that was paid by British taxpayers for the renovation of their residence. The couple have stated that they will pay back the figure, while reports indicate that the Sussexes do not intend to permanently return to Britain and live in a royal residence.

Surprise, Surprise: Data Reveals Where the Majority of Biden's Donations Came from – and It's Bad News for Dems

The conservative group Take Back Action Fund is sounding the alarm on millions of political donations made to former Vice President Joe Biden's presidential campaign. According to the group, more than half of the 2019 contributions Biden received on the Democratic fundraising platform ActBlue came from unemployed people, Fox News reported. That number has increased in 2020, particularly in light of the pandemic.

The organization decided to look at data from 2019, before the Wuhan coronavirus pandemic, to get a better idea of what donations were like at a time when the unemployment rate was relatively low – around four percent. Last year, 48.4 percent of ActBlue's donations were from "unemployed."

"After downloading hundreds of millions of [dollars in] donations to the Take Back Action Fund servers, we were shocked to see that almost half of the donations to ActBlue in 2019 claimed to be unemployed individuals," Take Back Action Fund's president, John Pudner, told Fox News. "The name of employers must be disclosed when making political donations, but more than 4.7 million donations came from people who claimed they did not have an employer. Those 4.7 million donations totaled $346 million ActBlue raised and sent to liberal causes."

The numbers are ticking upwards as 2020 continues on, with more than 50 percent of donations coming through ActBlue being gifted by those who are unemployed.

Data from WinRed, the Republican Party's version of ActBlue, the number of unemployed people who made donations to President Donald Trump sat at four percent. This year the number is 5.6 percent

Pudner took particular issue with ActBlue's lack of verification, something he says could be foreign contributions, which are illegal.

Author of Dystopian Classics Predicted Face Masks to Enforce Conformity 70 Years Ago

Ernst Jünger said masks would become commonplace to eradicate individuality.

Respected German author Ernst Jünger predicted the ubiquitousness of face masks to enforce conformity and uniformity in a dystopian future society in a novel called The Worker that was published nearly 90 years ago.

With face masks now becoming a mandatory part of the “new normal,” the enforcement measures to make people wear them, by both agents of the state and members of the general public, are becoming more dehumanizing and draconian.

This is precisely the scenario envisaged by enigmatic German author Ernst Jünger in his 1932 classic.

As Thomas Crew details in his article The Dystopian Age of the Mask, the “eradication of all individuality” is a running theme of all dystopian literature.

This is expressed by George Orwell in 1984 when he describes the masses as, “a nation of warriors and fanatics, marching forward in perfect unity, all thinking the same thoughts and shouting the same slogans…three hundred million people all with the same face.”

Crew explains that this theme is dominant in Jünger’s The Worker, where, “The uniformity of the new age is symbolized…by the sudden proliferation of the mask in contemporary society.”

“It is no coincidence,” he writes, “that the mask is again beginning to play a decisive role in public life. It is appearing in many different ways … be it as a gas mask, with which they are trying to equip entire populations; be it as a face mask for sport and high speeds, seen on every racing driver; be it as a safety mask for workplaces exposed to radiation, explosions, or narcotic substances. We can assume”, he continues, with an eerie prescience, “that the mask will come to take on functions that we can today hardly imagine.”

Crew explains how the public has been brainwashed to believe that the continuation of life, no matter how stifled, atomized and undignified it may be, is the only consideration.

More people are leaving California than ever before, driven out by worsening wildfires, politics and the skyrocketing cost of living

More people are leaving California than arriving, driven out by worsening wildfires, power outages and the skyrocketing cost of living

In 2018 more than 86,000 people left California for Texas, nearly 70,000 left for Arizona and about 55,000 left for Washington

Between 2007 and 2016, some 5million residents moved to California and 6million people moved out to other states

According to a poll locals say they consider leaving due to the high cost of housing, heavy taxation, or political culture

Today more than two dozen fires are blazing, ripping through a record 3.1million acres of land and killing 22 people, the worse inferno in the state's history

More people are leaving California than arriving as the state reels from devastating wildfires that only worsen by the year, power outages, poor air quality, and a burgeoning cost of living.

The California dream may be fading as the idyllic oceanfront state sees warming temperatures, burning blazes, challenges in controlling the coronavirus pandemic, and sky-high real estate prices.

Monica Gupta Mehta and her husband said that this year’s furious fires that darkened the skies over their Palo Alto home made them consider moving their family elsewhere.

'For the first time in 20-something years, the thought crossed our minds: Do we really want to live here?' Mehta said to the Washington Post.

'Yesterday felt so apocalyptic. People are really starting to reconsider whether California has enough to offer them,' Mehta added.

Between 2007 and 2016, some 5 million residents moved to California and 6 million people moved out to other states, according to KSBW.
