Look into the leadership of the various conservation corps around the country as well, virtually every state has their own. They're non-profits operating off government grants, essentially take impressionable teenagers, recent college grads or wayward hippies/potheads and use them as borderline slave labor for local, state and federal contracts. It's very cult-like when you're in it, lot of subtle indoctrination going on. Despite being "Americorps" there's a lot of general anti-American sentiment. Several people I know went in normal and came out full retard marxists.

It's all part of a whole world of nature fuckery. They pipeline these indoctrinated kids from college through the conservation world into either firefighting or forestry. Most people in this world are there because they couldn't compete in any other, complete push-overs. They just want to sit around outside and collect gubmint monee for their amazing contributions of butterfly identification or some shit. Realistically, it would be easier than possibly anywhere else to infiltrate and subvert.
