There is a difference between raising interest rates and rising inflation.

To target a yearly 2% inflation rate, as most Roth bank controlled countries do, is an attack on people's savings. Increased inflation and low interest rates is a double curse on financially responsible people who do not want to live paycheck to paycheck.

The message to savers is, 'spend it now because it won't be worth as much later.'
