I would start there. Not sure that is accurate, I think they became aware of the game, therefore, they covered both lanes of the game.
See that, not sayin they believe in Christ or satan, their quest is what drives them, the religious stuff is a game to them…tool maybe a better word.

Would rather focus on goals for humanity past all that is a result from their influence.
