here is something else to park in the back of your mind:

Tax filing deadline for corps is Sept 15

Another tax filing deadline (trusts?) is on Sept 30

Final tax filing deadline is October 31 (for individuals)

knowing my government after all this time, I can pretty much bet that nobody is making any sudden big moves (on either side) until every last American citizen, American company, and American trust has paid their 2019 income tax debt.

And if anyone DOES make big moves, it's because they were seriously forced into it.

The IRS offices are generating correspondence via AI, no one is answering calls, mail is not being opened (stored in big semi trucks, we hear)….they are sending out "you didn't pay your taxes" notices to people who did pay, and can prove it.

What a mess.

Cynical pov? yes. But be realisitic folks. We have to make sure to finish the 2019 tax season. Priorities are priorities lol!
