This tech and genetic stuff is leading to uploading into new bodies.
That new series set in the future where bodies are just 'sleeves'.

Or harvesting humans for food.
Like a big ship coming and the best quality meat is mixed race?
All this would make it less profitable to grow and create artificial organs that won't be rejected.
They are looking for immortality to become Gods.
