You really think a US insurgency could operate without substantial domestic resource support? There’s always on the ground coordination and cover. Always. Besides, the Ukrainian and German elements are more than likely cutouts for the true operational control.
Innocent Americans (and the innocent of many nations) have already died. We hope that if the objective is accomplished, innumerable millions of human lives will be saved in the future. This is war. War always brings casualties that are in all practical senses unavoidable. It is not possible to accomplish the mission and ensure that there are absolutely no casualties along the way.
Forging a better world will be a fitting tribute to all those fallen, for whatever reason - those whose names are known, and those who shall remain known only to God.
