The only way the intel community would have been “fooled” would be because no one performed a serious forensic examination of the DNC server. We do know that Crowdstrike wrote a report (not finalized), but it’s anyone’s guess whether they actually undertook work or made it up. One of the many egregious omissions of the Mueller inquiry is that it failed even to consider forensic evidence to test the fundamental underpinning of the alleged hacking narrative.
