“These are not just wildfires," Inslee told CNN host Wolf Blitzer during a satellite interview. "They are climate fires. They are not caused by an act of God, they are caused by climate change."
“The only moisture in my state today, in Eastern Washington, are the tears from people who lost their homes,” Inslee said.
The governor went on to say that a federal disaster declaration would go a long way to helping rebuild some of the uninsured losses among homes that have burned down.
