Leaked DHS Document Directly Undercuts Claims Made by Latest Whistleblower Championed by Adam Schiff

A leaked DHS document obtained by CBS News reporter Catherine Herridge directly undercuts claims made by Adam Schiff’s latest whistleblower.

Last week House Intel Chairman Adam Schiff (D-CA) crawled out of his hole and said he received a ‘new whistleblower complaint’ alleging Russia is meddling in the election.

Whistleblower Brian Murphy, who was the principal deputy under secretary in the Office of Intelligence and Analysis at the DHS before he was demoted, says DHS chief Chad Wolf instructed him to withhold intel notifications on Russian meddling because ‘it made Trump look bad.’

Murphy also claims Wolf instructed him to focus more on efforts by Iran and China, but he refused to comply because “doing so would put the country in substantial and specific danger.”

According to investigative reporter John Solomon, witness and Homeland Security Deputy General Counsel Ian Brekke plans to undercut Murphy’s claims in a transcribed interview with the Intelligence Committee.

The Trump administration is producing documents and a senior Homeland Security Department witness to undercut allegations made by the latest federal whistleblower to be championed by House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff.

According to three officials with direct knowledge, Homeland Security Deputy General Counsel Ian Brekke plans to tell the Intelligence Committee in a transcribed interview Tuesday that Murphy improperly ordered the surveillance of journalists he believed had obtained his leaked work emails.

Brekke also plans to testify that no superiors at Homeland ever instructed Brekke to surveil journalists or to manipulate intelligence concerning Homeland threats, such as Russian and other foreign efforts to interfere in the U.S. election or terrorism concerns about white supremacists, the three officials said.

John Solomon’s reporting is backed up by leaked documents obtained by Catherine Herridge.

DHS says emails between (whistleblower) Murphy and colleagues are in “direct contradition to Mr Murphy’s (IG) claims” that officials sought to censor or manipulate intel for political purposes. KEY EMAIL: While redacted in parts, the July 25, 2020 Murphy email reads in part, “The acting secretary has never given me any direction on what to do Regarding [sic] threats. The same applies to the acting deputy secretary.”

Trump says he wanted to ASSASSINATE Assad, blames ex-defense chief Mattis for staying his hand

US President Donald Trump has claimed he wanted to “take out” Syrian President Bashar Assad in 2017 but was deterred by then-Defense Secretary James Mattis – after previously denying an assassination was even discussed.

“I would have rather taken [Assad] out,” Trump told Fox & Friends on Tuesday, insisting “I had him all set,” but “Mattis didn’t want to do it.”

The admission flies in the face of Trump’s 2018 claim during a White House briefing that the suggestion of killing Assad was “never even discussed.” Journalist Bob Woodward reported in his 2018 book Fear that Trump was itching to have the Syrian leader assassinated after an alleged chemical weapons attack in 2017 – a claim Trump denounced as “total fiction.”

During the Fox & Friends interview, however, Trump said it was Mattis who stayed his hand, calling the ‘Mad Dog’ general “highly overrated” even as he claimed he didn’t regret not having Assad killed.

I could’ve lived either way with [the proposed assassination]. But I had a shot to take him out if I wanted, and Mattis was against it.

“Mattis was against most of that stuff,” Trump told the channel.

The president went on to blame Mattis for “not doing the job in Syria or Iraq with respect to ISIS [Islamic State / ISIL],” claiming the US “took out 100 percent of ISIS” as well as the terrorist group’s leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, but only after Trump “fired” the general.

He also appeared to lump in Iranian Major General Qassem Soleimani with the terrorist group, calling him “the biggest of them all” and bragging about his assassination by airstrike. While the Baghdadi killing was widely praised, the murder of Soleimani – the leader of Iran’s elite Quds Force – was internationally condemned for its potential to further destabilize the Middle East.

Bill Gates Slams FDA, Doubts Agency Can Be Trusted With COVID-19 Vaccine

Bill Gates just ratcheted up his PR campaign to sow doubts about President Trump's alleged 'political meddling' with the FDA, while also placing him in league - if only temporarily - with the vaccine skeptics Gates frequently rails against. During an interview with Bloomberg News, the Microsoft founder and Gates Foundation chairman, who has persisted in his defenses of the WHO despite growing evidence of missteps, attacked the FDA's credibility, claiming that he no longer believes the FDA is 'the world's premier public-health authority', as Bloomberg says during the opening paragraph of the post.

Gates, who has helped finance several vaccine projects around the world, said he doesn't trust the CDC, either, because credibility and a focus public welfare have become "casualties of a presidency that has downplayed or dismissed science and medicine in the pursuit of political gain."

He cited FDA chief Stephen Hahn's decision to "backtrack" on the agency's statement on convalescent plasma to back up his claims.

"We saw with the completely bungled plasma statements that when you start pressuring people to say optimistic things, they go completely off the rails. The FDA lost a lot of credibility there," Gates, the billionaire philanthropist, said in an interview on Bloomberg Television. "Historically, just like the CDC was viewed as the best in the world, the FDA had that same reputation as a top-notch regulator," Gates said. "But there’s been some cracks with some of the things they’ve said at the commissioner level."

While he said he applauds the Trump Administration's "Project Warp Speed", which has put up billions of dollars for private partnerships and pharmaceutical companies to fund trials and research, Gates is taking issue with the lack of funding for "manufacturing and procurement" - ie building out permanent supply chains for medicines and vaccines - in the developed world.

Hmm…if only somebody had thought of that…

Anyway, by spending another $8 to $10 billion - peanuts in the grand scheme of things, where Democrat are pushing to dump trillions more in fiscal stimulus - the US government could save "trillions" in lost economic output, Gates insists.

"The inequity of this - whether it’s between citizens in the country, blue collar versus white collar, blacks experiencing a higher sickness rate than others - poor countries can’t borrow money and spend money like the U.S. and other rich countries have," Gates said. "Almost every dimension of inequity has been accentuated here."

Asked about his newfound status as a "polarizing figure" in the pandemic era, Gates insisted that "conspiracy theories" circulating about him on social media are "crazy" - and that social media companies are to blame for the reputational damage he has endured.

To sum up: Gates doesn't think you should trust bureaucratic institutions (which, by extension, includes Dr. Fauci and Dr. Birx) anymore. Just trust him.

Asked about Gates' comments during an interview on Squawk Box Tuesday morning, White House advisor Jared Kushner largely brushed them aside.
