OK, reason with me a sec. Is there any reason, outside of religious beliefs that spawned in/around that area, that Israel as a piece of land is significant in any way/shape/form? To be completely fair, things in that region weren't so bad before the UN treated the Palestinians like the Cherokee. Ever since then, though, Israel could very easily be seen as the aggressor in the area. To top it off, shortly after that, all of the surrounding countries were radicalized into Islamic extremism.
So, fairy tales about devils and gods aside, clearly the issue is more about how people can be persuaded into taking up shit ideologies that aren't based in irrefutable proof, or any facts for that matter, right? This is a people problem, caused by people, perpetuated by people, and the wounds are so deep on all sides of the conflict that it's just status quo to keep fighting/killing each other over there, while a few at the top continue to increase their power/wealth.
Sure, some of these people may believe or "worship" something, but that doesn't make the thing they worship any more real or substantive than, say, the Flying Spaghetti monster. We are we so quick to attribute bad stuff to Satan, and the great works of good men directly to God?
He's right. Reinfection % is 0.00000012.
Not that I'm taking sides, but Israel's response is akin to bringing a Full auto shotgun to an office nerf scrimmage.
