>We never know who we get when they are out violating the fuck out of our rights though…

Unfortunately, this.

I'm all about respect.

But I've come across quite a few cops who did nothing to deserve any.

And while I do understand there are dangers involved/associated with their jobs, it's wrong for them to take out their frustrations on innocent citizens.

Having said that, I also know for a fact that there are members within the ranks who use their positions/authority to do/get away with some extremely disturbing shit, to say the least.

Still, every encounter I've had with police, I've tried my best to be as respectful as possible. Which is probably one of the main reasons why I'm still alive after numerous encounters with police that could've ended with one dead me.

Having said that, one of my main issues with police ultimately boils down to who rights the laws they uphold. While we are seeing some resistance from police now who are taking a stand against draconian orders, along with some who are quitting over the politics which are further endangering their lives while preventing them from doing their job, this has not always been the case. For years, the cops would use "just doing my job" as an excuse to ruin someone's life for no reason. Granted, in most cases, it's typically the courts that ruin people's lives, but the police are basically the thugs/foot soldiers whom the politicians/legislators/courts unleash on the public to extort money out of the people, for pretty much whatever reason they come up then write into "law".

Would've be much moar supportive of police, and I'm not saying I'm against them but, if they didn't spend so many years going along with the whole scandal that is the system. The shittiest part is that they complain about the lack of pay for the job they do, but there are many that don't bother with the riskier business BECAUSE of the lack of pay, along with the bureaucracy which prevents them from going after the real criminals, and the politicians who keep their pay traditionally low. Which the lack of pay, along with everything else, is sometime what likely leads certain officers into those territories of "side gigs" where they then are able to operate from inside and get away with much more than the average citizen. And many others officers who may or may not partake in said shady shit, still may know, but because of everything else involved, they don't always do shit about it except turn a blind eye.

But whenever anything bad happens to one side or the other, people don't like to talk/conversate/discuss the good AND the bad, it just boils down to heated emotions and you're either totally for all cops or your a faggot. I mean against them, but you get the idea
