The best way I can explain Round-up and our food is like this. Most GMOs were created to "resist" glyphosate based herbicides like Round-up. GMO corn is like this. I think its pretty bad to eat GMO foods that are "resistant" to glyphosate. However, glyphosate based herbicides such as Round-up can also be used to "dry down" (kill) cereal grains to optimize harvest. Imagine going out into your yard and spraying a bunch of grasses gone to seed with Round-up. Then when the plants are "dry" (dead) you gather them up, shake out the seeds and go into your house to make bread with them. Sound appetizing? I believe that both wheat and oats may be dried down in this manner, which makes getting organic grain pretty critical if you are going to eat them at all, in my opinion.
