DOUGLAS COUNTY, Wash. — Honeycrisp apples Gov. Jay Inslee brought as a gift during last week’s visit to eastern Washington towns that were ravaged by wildfires have tested positive for apple maggot larvae, according to Douglas County officials.

 

Officials said the apples were grown at the Governor’s mansion in Olympia, and Inslee gifted them to people in Bridgeport, Malden and to residents of a retirement home in Omak.
