From what I've seen, cigarettes were blamed for the cancer being caused by other factors, especially radiation (possibly above-ground nuclear testing) and carcinogenic chemicals being included in products for the purpose of poisoning us and increasing the revenue of the medical industry.

Yes, and granite is radioactive too. Incidence of birth defects go up in mothers who have granite kitchen counters. The important part here is the amount of radiation and particulate exposure.

 

In any case, the popular narrative of 'smoking causes cancer' is bugaboo. It is informational brick-a-brak. It is hooey. It is baloney.
