Report says the blast was physical sabotage, not a cyberattack

Since the July 2nd explosion at Iran’s Natanz nuclear facility, media reports have said that Israel was to blame for the blast. Now, The Jerusalem Post is reporting that claims of Israel’s role are “validated,” and the attack was “physical sabotage” as opposed to a cyberattack.

The Post says the purpose of the attack was to send a message to Iran about the country’s nuclear program and to show that “progress towards a nuclear weapon” would not “be tolerated.”

Iranian officials said the explosion set back the centrifuge program by months, and some have said it could be set back years. Iran recently confirmed that the incident was sabotage and said they are working to identify the culprit, but so far, they have not officially accused Israel.

Israel has not officially taken credit for the attack either, besides vague statements from Israeli officials and leaks to the press, like this Post story. The Natanz blast came during a string of mysterious fires and explosions across Iran. During that time, anonymous sources told Business Insider that Israel was trying to provoke Iran into a confrontation before the November US presidential election.

Shortly after the incident at Natanz, a Middle Eastern intelligence source told The New York Times that Israel was responsible for the blast, which was caused by a “powerful bomb.” A cyberattack was suspected at first since the US and Israel attacked the same facility in 2010 with a powerful computer virus known as Stuxnet.

Knesset rejects bill to ensure full equality between all Israeli citizens

The Israeli parliament, the Knesset, has rejected a bill presented by Yousef Jabareen on behalf of the Arab Joint List intended to ensure full equality for all of Israel’s citizens, regardless of their ethnicity or religious affiliation.

Jabareen presented his bill in advance of the 20th anniversary of the Aqsa Intifada, which has became a cornerstone in the collective consciousness of Israel’s Arab citizens, who make up 20 per cent of the population. They suffer from institutional discrimination, exclusion and hostility.

Despite the bill highlighting the need for human rights and democracy to be available to all in the Zionist state, it was rejected by a majority of the ruling coalition and opposition parties.

“What I am proposing to you is first and foremost a peace treaty between the state and its Arab citizens, before addressing what is beyond its borders,” Jabareen told the right-wing MKs who attacked his proposed legislation. “Peace with Arab citizens is realised when the state secures their equal status in their home.”

The text of the bill emphasised that democratic principles should be applied to all citizens in the state: “Israel is a democratic state that guarantees equal rights, based on the principles of human dignity, freedom and equality, in the spirit of the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights” while providing that “the state ensures equal and legal protection for all citizens, and fully guarantees national, cultural, linguistic and religious specificity to both Arabs and Jews.” It stressed that Arabic and Hebrew are the official languages of the state, and both have equal status in all posts and workplaces of the legislative, executive and judicial authorities.”

The parliamentarians of “the only democracy in the Middle East” rejected the bill, thus cementing further the apartheid nature of the Zionist state and highlighting the racist nature of its founding ideology.

Former VA doctor pleads guilty to molesting patients

A former doctor at a Veterans Affairs hospital in West Virginia pleaded guilty Thursday to federal charges that he molested three male patients and violated their civil rights.

Jonathan Yates pleaded guilty in court filings to three counts of depriving veterans of their civil rights under color of law, which means the crimes were committed while on duty. He faces up to 30 years in prison.

Yates worked at the Beckley VA Medical Center as a doctor of osteopathic medicine, which involves hands-on treatments through stretching and massaging. His patients and victims were seeking to manage their chronic pain.

Yates, 51, was arrested in April, and a grand jury indicted him a month later on five counts of depriving veterans of their civil rights and two counts of abusive sexual contact.

Yates admitted to rubbing the genitals of two veterans. He temporarily immobilized the two veterans, one by cracking his neck and the other with the use of acupuncture needles, the indictment from May said. He then molested them while they were incapacitated.

Yates also admitted to digitally penetrating a third veteran’s rectum without any medical purpose.

“By virtue of today’s plea agreement, Yates stands convicted of heinous criminal acts committed against military veterans who served our country honorably and with great sacrifice,” Mike Stuart, U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of West Virginia, said in a statement.

He did not plead guilty to the two counts of abusive sexual contact, which included allegations of Yates blocking a door in one case and engaging in unwanted sexual acts with two separate veterans. The indictment from May had said six male patients in total were molested between September 2018 and February 2019.

Yates' attorney did not immediately return an email for comment.

He is scheduled for sentencing on Jan. 4, 2021, the U.S. Department of Justice said.

The VA is the government’s second-largest department, responsible for 9 million military veterans.

Florida man federally charged with production of child pornography and enticement of a minor as result of ICE, law enforcement partner, investigation

TACOMA, Wash. – A 39-year-old New Port Ritchey, Florida, man is in federal custody tonight charged with production of child pornography and enticement of a minor, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE), Homeland Security Investigation’s (HSI) Acting Special Agent in Charge in Seattle Eben Roberts and U.S. Attorney Brian T. Moran announced today. Samuel Aaron Leonard was arrested July 2, in Vancouver, Washington, just outside the home of the 14‑year-old girl he had spent months enticing online for sexual abuse. Leonard allegedly communicated with the girl on a number of social media platforms and represented to the girl that he was 20 years old. Leonard will make his initial appearance in U.S. District Court Monday.

According to the criminal complaint, Leonard contacted the girl via a social media platform around April 1. Over the next few months, Leonard communicated with the girl on various social media sites and sent her a cell phone so that they could communicate by text and telephone. Unbeknownst to the girl, Leonard installed tracking and surveillance software in the phone so that he could monitor her location and read her texts and emails. Leonard turned the conversations with the girl to a sexual nature and convinced her to send various sexually explicit photos. The girl’s guardians became aware of the communication and contacted Kalama Police in late June. Law enforcement immediately seized both phones that the teen had been using to communicate and had an undercover officer take over the communication. Analyzing the communications and the cell phone information, the investigation revealed that Leonard had traveled from Florida to the Vancouver area via bus and was within a short bike ride of the girl’s home. When the officer, posing as the girl, revealed that the girl’s guardian had taken the phone Leonard had sent to her, Leonard said he would get her a new one. Police surveilled Leonard as he took a newly purchased phone, hid it in a package, and tossed the package over the fence to the girl’s backyard. Leonard was arrested shortly afterwards.

A search of Leonard’s hotel room revealed that he had a firearm and ammunition, four folding survival knives, a survival axe, and a number of items used to restrain someone, such as ten sets of flex cuffs and two sets of metal handcuffs, as well as duct tape and electrical tape. He also had various sex toys and lubricants.

Production of child pornography is punishable by a mandatory minimum 15 years in prison and up to 30 years in prison. Enticement of a minor is punishable by a mandatory minimum 10 years in prison and up to life in prison.

The charges contained in the complaint are only allegations. A person is presumed innocent unless and until he or she is proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.

Phoenix police search for second suspect in 'ambush-style shooting' of Arizona Department of Public Safety trooper

The shooting suspect was apprehended at the scene, but second suspect fled

Arizona police are searching for a second suspect involved in an “ambush-style shooting” of an officer on Thursday morning, state troopers announced.

A silver Infinity pulled up to an unmarked car on Roosevelt Street in Pheonix, in which an Arizona Department of Public Safety (AZDPS) detective sat. A passenger got out of the Infinity and opened fire on the detective, who returned fire, according to a report.

“Our detectives were wearing police attires, easily identifiable as police officers. We're here simply supporting another operation going on nearby," said Capt. Jesse Galvez, FOX 10 reported.

A second AZDPS officer responded to the scene and assisted in apprehending the shooter. The second suspectthe driver in the Infinityhowever, fled the scene and remains at large.

Neither officer, nor the shooting suspect, was injured, the AZDPS said.

"Had the trooper not had the wherewithal and the ability to quickly exit his vehicle and engage the suspect, undoubtedly, he would have been shot or killed," DPS Director Col. Heston Silbert said.

AZDPS troopers are asking for any information about the driver. A Blue Alert was issued to residents across the Valley.

San Francisco State University Professor Rabab Abdulhadi and Professor Tomomi Kinukawa are hosting the open classroom Internet event described as: “a historic roundtable conversation with Palestinian feminist, militant, and leader Leila Khaled, followed by Q&A discussion with students, activists, and scholars at 12:30-2:30 pm PST (3:30-5:30 pm New York, and 10:30pm-12:30 am in Palestine and Jordan).

While Leila Khaled is not a specially designated terrorist, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine is a designated organization – and Khaled is a member of the terrorist organization’s politburo. Because it is an online event, there are no issues related to her admissibility to the U.S. Khaled has spoken in Europe several times (including at an EU conference in Brussels in 2017), but was denied entry to Italy the same year.

In 2018, the co-chair of the Portland Democratic Socialists of America featured a famous photo of Khaled holding an AK-47 during the hijacking of TWA 840 on her Twitter banner and tweeted that, “Khaled never harmed a single human being”. She has recently tweeted support of Antifa, Black Lives Matter, and the Portland riots.

The event is also scheduled to feature South African politician Ronnie Kasrils. He was the country’s Minister of Intelligence, an executive committee member of the African National Congress, and a member of the Central Committee of South Africa’s Communist Party. He was previously an advisor to Hamas.

Another speaker at the event, Sekou Odinga, is a Black Panthers revolutionary who was convicted of six counts of attempted murder of a police officer and RICO charges related to his role in breaking a fellow Panther (who had been convicted of killing a New Jersey State Trooper) out of prison. He was paroled in 2014.

Former Weather Underground and SDS member Laura Whitehorn is also scheduled to participate. She was convicted for her role in the 1983 bombing of the U.S. Senate and sentenced to 20 years.

Event moderator Rahab Abdulhadi is a Professor and Director of the Arab and Muslim Ethnicities and Diasporas/Race and Resistance initiative at SFSU. She has an extremely long history of Palestinian/anti-Jewish activism, including establishing ties between SFSU and Hamas-affiliated universities. In 2014, she led a university-funded delegation of academics to the Middle East that met with Khaled and Sheikh Raed Salah, the leader of an organization that supports Hamas.

“We are able to reach neutralizing antibodies to levels that are higher than those in people who have been sick,” Zaks said. “These antibodies, in people who have been sick, we believe are what keep us from getting coronavirus a second time. So that is the reason for our optimism.

Moderna’s goal is to produce 300 million vaccine doses by January 2021 so “we can start immunizing ourselves and that will make a dent in this pandemic.”

Moderna allowed governments to prepay for vaccine doses, which helped Moderna secure its manufacturing footprint. Among those countries is the State of Israel, though reports have not divulged any of the parameters of the deal.

The second scientist is Dr. Alexander Gintsburg, head of Moscow’s state-run Gamaleya Institute. In early September, The Lancet medical journal reported that Russia’s “Sputnik-V” COVID-19 vaccine produced an antibody response in all participants in early-stage trials.

Russia licensed the two-shot jab for domestic use in August, the first country to do so. Currently, a Phase 3, 40,000-strong trial of the vaccine is underway. Israel’s Hadassah Medical Center, which has a branch in Skolkovo near Moscow, is in negotiations to join the trial.

Gamaleya Institute’s vaccine is administered in two doses, with each based on a different vector that normally causes the common cold: human adenoviruses Ad5 and Ad26.

Hunter Biden Offered D.C. Access to Chinese Company in Exchange for Investments

Hunter Biden touted his family’s political clout to solicit a $5 million investment from China for his U.S.-based financial advisory firm, according to a court filing by a white-collar convict who claims he had an inside view into Biden’s murky foreign business dealings.

John Galanis, 77, argues that the younger Biden used his businesses as a "pay-to-play influence peddling operation" by offering access to influential people in Washington, D.C., in exchange for investments. Galanis, who was convicted in 2018 of defrauding investors and the Wakpamni tribal community, states in the affidavit that his son, Jason Galanis, provided him with details of Biden’s offshore deals after befriending Biden’s longtime business partner Devon Archer.

In the affidavit, Galanis says that Biden and Archer worked to secure $15 million for their financial advisory company from the Chinese investment fund Harvest Fund Management in 2015, which agreed to provide them with $5 million after Biden reached out directly to the firm’s chairman and said it would be important to the Biden family.

"To induce Chinese, Biden sends email to Henry Zhao, Chairman/founder of Harvest," said Galanis. "[Biden] says investment would be important to his family. Chinese agree to $5 million investment in Burnham Asset Management alone."

At the time, Archer and Biden’s investment advisory firm, Burnham Financial, was facing significant financial problems and needed the $5 million investment to stay afloat. The company’s independent trustees told Archer that they had "very grave concerns" about "the solvency of Burnham" and were considering moving the funds to a different adviser, according to minutes from an October 2015 board meeting that were included in a previous court appeal by Archer.

Archer reassured the trustees that he had a "relationship with various persons and entities based in the People's Republic of China," including Zhao, "and it was hoped that Harvest or its various affiliated parties would make a contribution through a business relationship to be developed to the working capital of Burnham in the amount of $5 million," according to a copy of the board minutes.

Around the same time, Archer and Biden put together a financial proposal for Burnham to pitch to Harvest that promised "Washington, D.C., access" for investors, according to a copy of the presentation that was introduced in the trial. Biden was listed in the presentation as the vice chairman of Burnham & Co. and the CEO of Burnham Advisors.

Growing research indicates many COVID-19 cases might not be infectious at all

Elevated 'cycle thresholds' may be detecting virus long after it is past the point of infection.

A growing body of research suggests that a significant number of confirmed COVID-19 infections in the U.S. — perhaps as many as 9 out of every 10 — may not be infectious at all, with much of the country's testing equipment possibly picking up mere fragments of the disease rather than full-blown infections.

Confirmed cases of the disease have been the focal point of public health authorities and governments worldwide for many months, with countries across the globe working frantically to shore up their testing infrastructure and ensure that most citizens who want a COVID-19 test can obtain one with relative ease.

Many politicians, meanwhile — including most state governors in the U.S. — have tied reopening policies to the number of cases detected in the local community, with regions and localities often being permitted to reopen in staggered "phases" only when they have reached successively lower benchmarks of average new daily cases in the area.

Numerous institutions, meanwhile, have adopted testing protocols in an attempt to preempt the spread of the virus. American colleges and universities, for instance, have turned to mass testing in order to closely monitor incidences of the disease among students, particularly residential students living on campus.

Yet a burgeoning line of scientific inquiry suggests that many confirmed infections of COVID-19 may actually be just residual traces of the virus itself, a contention that — if true — may suggest both that current high levels of positive viruses are clinically insignificant and that the mitigation measures used to suppress them may be excessive.

'Cycle threshold' set very high for many tests

At issue is the method by which many COVID-19 tests detect a patient's viral load within a given sample. Polymerase chain reaction tests, which have been widely deployed to determine if individuals are infected with the disease, function by amplifying DNA samples to the point that an antigen can be detected and classified.

The "cycle threshold" is the number of amplification cycles a PCR test goes through before a target pathogen is detected. A lower cycle threshold means that a higher amount of the virus was present in the sample; a higher threshold means the machine had to work harder to detect the virus in the sample, indicating a lower viral load and more likely a non-infectious patient.

Undercover Journalist Hits Planned Parenthood with Defamation Lawsuit

Undercover journalist David Daleiden filed a defamation lawsuit against Planned Parenthood, alleging that a communications officer gave false statements to a publication regarding organ harvesting operations.

Attorneys for Daleiden at the Thomas More Society said that the nation's largest abortion organization orchestrated a smear campaign to distract from the content of his work, which featured candid conversations with Planned Parenthood executives about the trade of baby body parts.

"We have not been surprised over their campaign to smear the reputation of Mr. Daleiden, but they are not allowed to falsely besmirch his reputation for exposing the truth," Thomas More Society president Tom Brejcha said in a statement.

The complaint cites a quote given by a communications officer from Planned Parenthood to Rewire News that accused Daleiden and his organization, the Center for Medical Progress, of having "manufacture[d] a fake smear campaign against Planned Parenthood." It also cites a tweet from November 2019 that claimed Daleiden, who posed as a prospective buyer of fetal organs, distorted the truth in his videos.

"In reality, as PPFA and its representatives recorded on the Videos readily admit in other fora, Plaintiffs’ videos accurately record Planned Parenthood officials' own shocking words spoken in real life," the complaint says.

Planned Parenthood spokeswoman Melanie Newman dismissed the lawsuit as "baseless" and another chapter in a "multi-year, malicious campaign to advance [Daleiden's] goals of banning safe, legal abortion in this country."

"These baseless claims are not new. They are just another desperate attempt by a discredited source to get publicity," Newman said in an email.

The suit marks the latest in a years-long legal struggle between Daleiden and Planned Parenthood. In December 2019, Daleiden sued an individual Planned Parenthood employee for defamation who was recorded on video discussing the sale of fetal organs.

Abortion supporters have waged a legal battle targeting the pro-life activist in recent years, successfully blocking the release of additional footage and winning a $2 million jury verdict over his undercover tactics. Vice-presidential candidate Kamala Harris also launched an investigation into Daleiden during her tenure as California's attorney general. Her office, which coordinated with top Planned Parenthood officials during the course of the probe, eventually filed criminal charges against the undercover videographer.

AP Investigation Finds Some Reports Of ICE Medical Misconduct, But No Evidence Of Mass Sterilizations

An investigation by the Associated Press did not find evidence of the widespread ICE sterilizations a whistleblower complaint alleged but did uncover several incidents of medical misconduct

An Associated Press report published Friday alleges some evidence of improper medical conduct toward immigrants detained at the Irwin County Detention Center in Georgia but does not support allegations of widespread, nonconsensual sterilizations made in a whistleblower complaint.

The complaint, filed by a nurse with the assistance of four Southern advocacy groups and released Monday, alleged the facility ignored COVID-19 safety guidelines, abused detainees and often performed questionably consensual surgeries that left some patients sterilized. AP did not find evidence of mass sterilizations but did uncover several allegations of medical misconduct. Priyanka Bhatt, staff attorney at Project South, said in an interview with The Washington Post she did not speak to anyone who had undergone forced sterilization, but left the statements in the report to spark an investigation into the allegations.

Dr. Mahendra Amin, the doctor identified as performing the operations, told The Intercept he has only performed “one or two hysterectomies in the past two [or] three years.” Records show women needing gynecological care were usually referred to Amin. Immigration and Customs Enforcement reported there have been two referrals for hysterectomies from the facility since 2018 and denied any misconduct.

“Detainees are afforded informed consent, and a medical procedure like a hysterectomy would never be performed against a detainee’s will,” said Dr. Ada Rivera, medical director of the ICE Health Service Corps.

Interviews with some of the detainees paint a less benign picture. Two women spoke anonymously to AP, fearing retaliation, one who said she received a hysterectomy and the other who refused the surgery.

Medical records confirm the first woman went to Amin, and lab results showed early signs of cancer. Amin’s notes state she agreed to a hysterectomy 11 days later, but she told Andrew Free, a lawyer investigating the claims, she was pressured by Amin and “didn’t have the opportunity to say no” or consult family members prior to surgery.

The second woman needed treatment for heavy bleeding and subsequently was referred for a psychiatric evaluation. She said she “saw someone else after they had surgery and what I saw scared me.”

Besides 22 Wiped Devices, 44 Mueller Team iPhones Had Zero Records

Forty-four iPhones used by members of Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation contained no records when they were examined by an officer assigned to the team, according to internal documents.

Five more Special Counsel’s Office (SCO) phones contained only one record each, and four others contained fewer than 10 records per device, according to a log kept by a records officer over the course of more than 20 months.

The lack of records on the phones is extraordinary given the immense scope of the probe. It is also suspicious considering that at least 22 phones belonging to members of the Mueller team were wiped, with employees offering questionable explanations for the erasures.

Under U.S. law, government records are defined as “all recorded information, regardless of form or characteristics, made or received by a federal agency under federal law or in connection with the transaction of public business and preserved or appropriate for preservation by that agency or its legitimate successor as evidence of the organization, functions, policies, decisions, procedures, operations, or other activities of the United States government or because of the informational value of data in them.”

Of the 92 unique iPhones used by the Mueller team, only 12 contained a significant number of records, an Epoch Times review of available records determined.

Two well-known members of the Mueller team, FBI attorney Lisa Page and Deputy Assistant Director Peter Strzok mentioned sending and clearing iMessages from their SCO iPhones on more than one occasion.

“Clear imsg …” Strzok wrote to Page on June 5, 2017, and again on June 8.

Apple’s iMessage service utilizes the internet data network to send messages that bypass the cellular carrier’s text message service. As a result, when the SCO asked Verizon to check how many text messages Strzok and Page sent during their tenure on the Mueller team, Verizon said that none were sent, but noted that data did leave the device.

The records officer, who isn’t identified in the documents, noted that Strzok’s phone contained “no substantive texts, notes or reminders.” Page’s phone went missing under questionable circumstances after she left the Mueller team. When it was recovered more than a year later, the device was already wiped.

The Department of Justice (DOJ), of which the SCO was a part, is bound by laws and regulations to preserve records and prevent them from being destroyed.

The DOJ’s “Records Management” page notably contains a statutory definition of what a record is that has been outdated since late 2014, when the relevant legislation was amended by Congress. The page also incorrectly attributes the definition to the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA). The outdated language came from Congress.

The DOJ didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.

The iPhones that had no records belonged to some of the key members of the special counsel team, including Mueller himself, deputy special counsel Aaron Zebley, FBI attorney Kevin Clinesmith, and Andrew Weissman.

Clinesmith pleaded guilty in August to one false statement charge in connection to an email he forged while serving as the primary FBI attorney assigned to the SCO. He edited the email as part of the process for preparing a secret-court application for a warrant to surveil a former Trump campaign adviser.

Senate Ukraine Report On Biden, Burisma Expected ‘in days’, Says Top GOP Senator

An explosive detailed report from the Senate Homeland Security Committee, is expected to be released on former Vice President Joe Biden and his son, Hunter Biden’s dealings with Ukraine gas company Burisma ‘within days,’ Sen. Ron Johnson told this reporter Friday.

Moreover, Johnson’s Senate committee voted on Wednesday to authorize more than three dozen subpoenas and depositions of former senior Obama administration officials’ involved, or who had knowledge of the FBI’s probe into President Donald Trump. The issue, however, says Johnson, is that FBI Director Christopher Wray has refused to cooperate with his panel for information and documents that would aid in questioning witnesses.

The damning report is expected to detail Joe and Hunter Biden’s business connections to the Ukrainian gas giant Burisma, in which Hunter Biden was a paid board member. According to reports Hunter Biden was paid roughly $50,000 plus per month by the energy giant. His position on the gas company’s board has been questioned by both members of the GOP and some Democrats, who have noted that the former Vice President’s son has no experience in energy companies and does not speak Russian.

Moreover, as previously reported by SaraACarter.com, Johnson’s committee has been investigating Hunter Biden’s employment to Burisma because it came at the same time his father was heading the Ukraine policy for former President Obama during his tenure.

“My game plan is to get this Ukraine report out as quickly as possible,” said Johnson, who chairs the Senate committee, and wants Americans to understand that there are numerous questions regarding Democrat presidential candidate Joe Biden that have not have been answered or investigated.

“I’m hopeful our report will turn some heads because my goal is to get the truth out to the American people,” he said. “The truth is a simple and important concept, don’t you think?”

A recent report by John Solomon, with Just The News, exposed that just eight months after Hunter joined the board of Burisma Holdings, U.S. officials “in Kiev developed evidence that the Ukrainian gas company may have paid a $7 million bribe to the local prosecutors investigating the firm for corruption, according to interviews and State Department memos.”

“State officials believed the alleged bribe was paid between May and December 2014 and got confirmation from one prosecutor. They argued the bribe amounted to a “gross miscarriage of justice that undermined months of US assistance” to fight corruption in Ukraine, contemporaneous memos show,” as stated by Solomon.

But the situation regarding Ukraine and the Biden’s involvement is murky. It’s even more difficult when investigating those connections in Ukraine, as Russian intelligence officials are believed to also be misleading and meddling with the U.S. election and information pertaining to both Biden, as well as, President Donald Trump.

El-Masri was kidnapped in Macedonia in June 2024 by CIA agents and sent to a black site in Afghanistan where he was sodomized, testified German journalist John Goetz on Wednesday. Goetz later found the CIA agents living in North Carolina and his cover story in Der Spiegel led to a German parliamentary investigation and the filing of an arrest warrant by Munich prosecutors for the CIA men, as El-Masri is a German citizen. But the warrant was never issued in the United States, where they lived.

Goetz testified that it wasn’t until the WikiLeaks release of diplomatic cables that he understood why. He said on the stand that cables showed the immense pressure the U.S. put on Germany not to issue U.S. arrest warrants, warning of serious repercussions in U.S.-German relations. Mark Summers, attorney for the defense, told Baraitser on Friday that El-Masri’s testimony about WikiLeaks‘ role in his story is what the defense was after.

Summers said Lewis wasn’t only objecting to the part of his testimony that laid out apparent criminal activity by the United States, but to its entirety, including as it touched upon WikiLeaks’ involvement in his case.

Baraitser compromised by allowing Summers to read into the record El Masri’s testimony but not allowing him to appear on the stand. El Masri had had technical difficulties logging into the court prior to this discussion. Summers said it was regrettable that Zoom couldn’t be used instead of the more complicated court video system.

If The PCR Test Is Unreliable – Why Are Health Officials Demanding The Public Be Tested?

As evidence mounts that the “gold standard” test for detecting COVID-19 is unreliable, why are health officials around the world calling for more tests?

In the months since the COVID-19 panic began, health authorities around the world have told the public to “get tested” to help track the spread of SARS-CoV-2. However, as fear and hysteria subside, the scientific community and public at large are calling into question the efficacy of the test used to determine a patients status. This article is a brief examination of the evidence that the PCR test is unreliable and should not be used as a determinant for the number of COVID-19 cases or as a factor in political decisions.

Houston Health Authority Has Concerns About PCR Test

On August 31, I attended a press conference in Houston to ask the Mayor and Houston Health Authority about reports regarding problems with the Texas Department of State Health Services’ numbers on COVID-19 cases. TLAV has previously reported on these concerns with the COVID-19 case numbers in Texas. I also had a chance to ask Houston Health Authority Dr. David Persse about concerns around the test used to detect COVID-19.

The most common test is a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) lab test. This incredibly sensitive technique was developed by Berkeley scientist Kary Mullis, for which he was awarded the Nobel Prize in 1993. The test is designed to detect the presence of a virus by amplifying the virus’ genetic material so it can be detected by scientists. The test is viewed as the gold standard; however, it is not without problems.

The PCR test uses chemicals to amplify the virus’s genetic material and then each sample goes through a number of cycles until a virus is recovered. This “cycle threshold” has become a key component in the debate around the efficacy of the PCR test.

Dr. Persse says that when the labs report numbers of COVID-19 cases to the City of Houston they only offer a binary option of “yes” for positive or “no” for negative. “But, in reality, it comes in what is called cycle-thresholds. It’s an inverse relationship, so the higher the number the less virus there was in the initial sample,” Persse explained. “Some labs will report out to 40 cycle-thresholds, and if they get a positive at 40 – which means there is a tiny, tiny, tiny amount of virus there – that gets reported to us as positive and we don’t know any different.”

Persse noted that the key question is, at what value is someone considered still infectious?

“Because if you test me and I have a tiny amount of virus, does that mean I am contagious? That I am still infectious to someone else? If you are shedding a little bit of virus are you just starting? Or are you on the downside?,” Dr. Persse asked in the lobby of Houston City Hall. He believes the answer is for the scientific community to set a national standard for cycle-threshold.

Unfortunately, a national standard would not solve the problems expressed by Dr. Persse and others.

Google Removes India's E-Commerce Payment Paytm App After Policy Violation

Paytm is India’s most valuable startup and claims to have more than 50 million monthly active users. The app is one of the most used in the country for e-transactions

Google has removed popular Indian financial services app Paytm from the Play Store for violating its gambling policies. The app along with the Paytm First Games disappeared from the Play Store for Android users in the country on Friday.

However, all the other apps including Paytm For Business, Paytm Money, Paytm Mall, and others owned by the company are still available.

“Paytm which promotes fantasy sport services within its app, repeatedly violated the Play Store’s policies. The Google team that worked with the developers repeatedly reached out to Paytm to fix the issues,” those familiar with the issue told media.

After being removed, the app, owned by One97 Communications Ltd, in a statement on Twitter said: "Paytm Android app is temporarily unavailable on Google's Play Store for new downloads or updates. It will be back very soon. All your money is completely safe, and you can continue to enjoy your Paytm app as normal."

The step by Google comes hours after Suzanne Frey, Vice-President, Product, Android Security and Privacy at Google, said in a blog post on Friday that Google would not permit online casinos or support any unregulated gambling apps that facilitate sports betting.

“This policy includes apps that lead consumers to an external website that allows them to participate in paid tournaments to win real money or cash prizes,” the post read.

Meanwhile, the removal of the app triggered some meme fest on Twitter.

Amal Clooney, prominent human rights lawyer and wife of famous American actor George Clooney, has ended up resigning from her position as UK envoy on media freedom, after the House of Commons passed the Internal Market Bill earlier this week.

The new legislation, seeks to scale back some of Britain's obligations under the Withdrawal Agreement, related to state aid and customs checks on the Irish border.

In a letter she penned to UK Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab, Amal argued that “undermining the rule of law 'threatens to embolden autocratic regimes that violate international law with devastating consequences all over the world'", as quoted by AFP.

"Although the government has suggested that the violation of international law would be 'specific and limited', it is lamentable for the UK to be speaking of its intention to violate an international treaty signed by the prime minister less than a year ago", she wrote.

Clooney also remarked that she accepted the her role as envoy due to believing in “the importance of the cause”, and appreciating “the significant role that the UK has played and can continue to play in promoting the international legal order".

"However, very sadly, it has now become untenable for me, as special envoy, to urge other states to respect and enforce international obligations while the UK declares that it does not intend to do so itself", she added.

UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson presented the Internal Market Bill earlier this month, saying that it was seeking to scale back some of the country's obligations under the Withdrawal Agreement which have to do with state aid and customs checks on the Irish border. Democrats Pass Resolution Condemning Terms Such As ‘Chinese Virus’ and ‘Kung-Flu’

Democrats in the U.S. House of Representatives passed a resolution Thursday condemning terms such as “Chinese virus” used to describe the coronavirus as a form of “anti-Asian sentiment,” the Blaze reported.

“It passed in a mostly party-line vote of 243 to 163 with 14 Republicans voting with the Democratic majority in favor,” the outlet stated.

However, all other Republicans voted against the resolution.

The text specifically cites the phrases “Chinese Virus,” “Wuhan Virus,” and “Kung-flu” as examples of “anti-Asian terminology and rhetoric” that has “perpetuated anti-Asian stigma” in the United States. It calls on lawmakers to denounce anti-Asian sentiment in any form, as well as “all manifestations of expressions of racism, xenophobia, discrimination, anti-Asian sentiment, scapegoating, and ethnic or religious intolerance.”

A cluster of Republicans spoke out against the resolution and Rep. Andy Biggs (R-AZ) called it “woke culture on steroids,” according to the Associated Press (AP).

“Republican leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA), said it was ‘ridiculous’ and a ‘waste of time’ as the House was about to adjourn for the week and Democrats and the White House have so far failed to agree on additional coronavirus relief,” the report said.

In a tweet Thursday, Rep. Grace Meng (D-NY), who introduced the legislation, said she was thankful for her colleagues’ support, adding “We reject racism”:

Detroit Police Chief James Craig sat down for an interview with Townhall this week where he weighed-in on the ongoing anti-police protests in major American cities; saying it has little to do with racism and more to do with “anarchists and Marxist ideology.”

“I can tell you that this group that’s marching, like so many across the country, the anarchist factions of these groups are promoting violence and attacks on police officers. Man reportedly burns pro-Trump sign, punches elderly woman, pulls pocketknife during rally. Then a retired cop jumps into action.

Authorties arrested a33-year-old California man after he allegedly punched an elderly female Trump supporter and two other people during a pro-Trump gathering in Aliso Viejo, California, Wednesday evening.

A retired cop jumped into action and intervened before the suspect could do any more damage.

On Friday, the Daily Mail reported that the suspect, Alvin Shaw, is a U.S. postal service worker.

What are the details?

Reports say that anywhere between 20 and 30 people gathered in support of Trump's re-election bid on a street in Aliso Viejo on Wednesday evening. Many of the demonstrators wore the Trump campaign's signature MAGA-wear and carried signs professing their support for the president.

Video footage of the incident, according to reports, depicts the group's apparently lighthearted nature and reportedly shows demonstrators laughing and cheering as people drive past the rally and honk their horns.

According to several reports, the suspect approached the group of Trump supporters as the rally began to wrap up and blew smoke from what appeared to be a cigar in some of their faces. Shaw then allegedly took the cigar and burned at least one sign.

Authorities say an agitated Shaw then struck at least three people, including 84-year-old Donna Snow, then pulled out a pocketknife.

Snow told KCAL-TV that Shaw "took his hand out … from way back, and whack, right across my face."

"Broke my earring off," she said.

A retired police officer then arrived on the scene and drew his weapon on the suspect, who reportedly tried to flee.

According to reports, the suspect was forced to the ground and held until authorities arrived.

One witness told KTLA-TV that she initially thought Shaw was coming over to join the demonstration.

"Instead," the eyewitness said, "he actually was pretty upset, and he started using profanity from the minute he arrived."

Snow said, "He kept coming over to me and getting in my face, and all he could say was the F-word."

Police arrested the suspect on suspicion of elder abuse, assault with a deadly weapon, and assault and battery.

He was reportedly released Thursday on bond.

12 Steps to Create Your Own Pandemic Or How to Turn a Harmless Virus into Boundless Profits for You and Your Friends

Imagine that you had the resources and influence sufficient to create a global pandemic, what would you need to do? How would you get started? And how best to turn it to your advantage and boost your profits?

We have the answers right here. A simple 12 step plan.

1) – Find some vague criteria for what constitutes the symptoms that you want people to look for. Anything subjective that a lot of people can identify with is ideal. Let us take memory problems and/or confusion + a few common ones from the Covid list. Tiredness, aches and pains are common and subjective enough. (For covid19 the symptoms are: fever, dry cough, tiredness. Less common symptoms: aches and pains, sore throat, diarrhoea, loss of taste or smell, a rash, or discolouration of fingers or toes)

It would be a good idea to take something that is very common in old people so that we can use death from old age as proof of the lethality of the new virus.

2) – Then we would need something biological to test. Any RNA sequence would do, as long as it is not present in the whole population. If it were, someone might claim herd immunity very quickly. Actually it could be an RNA sequence that does not really exist in humans but something that could exist as contamination in labs, e.g. in dust or water

That would be enough for a RT qPCR test to pick up as a false positive. Many RT PCRs have false positive rates of 3-5 % and that would be plenty to create a scare. (When it comes to Covid, the false positive rate is impossible to know for sure, since we don’t have a gold standard to check against, but for many other similar tests, the average false positive rate is over 3%. And different labs are testing for different sequences.

We can count on over-stressed labs to be more prone to contamination than labs taking part in research knowing they will be checked for accuracy, the ones that gave over 3% false positives. Maybe the error rate for the average stressed lab is as high as 8%. BMJ counts 5% as a reasonable estimate. With 8% we would have all positive tests in the US explained by false positives).

3) – Then we are all set to go. We just have to claim that we have discovered a new cluster of symptoms and that is related to a new RNA sequence. It starts with memory loss, and confusion. In other words this is a neurotoxic virus, and it leads to death in all the ways old people can die, by strokes, heart attacks, pneumonia, kidney failure, sepsis, organ failure, dehydration.

It doesnt matter if the patient was close to deaths door anyway, because of existing problems. We can always claim that without our new virus, they would not have died. Who could counter that?( just like Covid; People die from all kinds of disorders that they already had before the got the Covid test).

4) – By some miracle we have already discovered exactly the virus that is responsible among the millions of different viruses that exist in any cubic centimeter of air. So we already have a RT PCR test read to go. This makes us look like very competent researchers. Of course we have bought stock in the major testing labs ahead of time.

We’ve bought stocks in the biggest vaccine manufacturers also of course. That will be the biggest money maker finally, hopefully for years since it will be difficult to get antibodies to something that doesn’t really exist.

5) – So now we just have to spread the news that a new deadly pandemic is spreading all over the world, and every country has to start testing. We can count on the 5% hypochondriacs in the general population to come forth to be tested first.

It will always take some time for each country to get started ramping up their testing, so the graphs are guaranteed to look exponential in the beginning.

6) – All you need now is for people to bring their old and confused elderly in for testing, and with 5% false positives, we will soon have most hospital beds filled with old sick confused patients.

We can count on doctors to treat them aggressively. Most of these old people will be on a coctail of drugs already, so adding a few more drugs as “heroic treatment” will be sure to push them over the edge.
